This piercing by Ilya in Holland is seriously intense… Based on the anatomy, I can’t imagine it’s going to be an easy or comfortable healing, but you never know. If you can pierce a tongue, I suppose you can pierce anything!

Speaking of postings that could get people in trouble, my honest advice to people is not to advertise their drug use… You never know what people could use against you — how many times have people posted things like this only to have a disgruntled ex (or whatever) email the photos to their parents?
That said, I wholeheartedly support people’s right to smoke pot! Although personally I’d never cut it with tobacco… Er, not that I’d smoke sweet, sweet Mary Jane.

I find it disturbing…

Perhaps it’s simply my own cultural bias speaking, combined with my personal
kinkopinion that body modification is sexual in nature, I find it really hard to process photos of kids getting piercings… Even nose and ear piercings squick me — I can’t think of any objective reason why it’s wrong though, and I’m certainly not making a negative comment about the piercers involved. To each their own!

Pierced arm stub

I’ll post more stuff later tonight, but before I got started on other projects this morning I wanted to post this “arm stub piercing” done by Devin in Oregon. The jewelry through the nipple-like protrusion on the end of the stub is a 14ga 3/8″ curved barbell.
I love it when people take active and proud control of their body, no matter how it’s shaped!

You know, some piercers have all the luck, starting with Michael Moore over at VooDoo Tattoo in Bay City, MI who did a girl-girl corset piercing recently, splitting a dozen rings between two girls in matching lingerie (oh yeah… what would you do if you had a million bucks?).
Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying the 2006 return of ModBlog. There won’t be any posts tomorrow because I’m trying to take a day a week off as a general rule, but watch for more on Monday evening.
