Fishywoman‘s son has an ear piercing that has been growing and continues to grow a keloid. They figure that it’s growing either way, so why not let him keep the jewelry in? Anyway, it was done with a gun six years ago when he was eight… I assume surgery to remove it is being planned.
(Note: my advice would be to take out the jewelry to minimize the growth as much as possible).

35mm Lobes No More

This one goes out to all the piercers out there doing things like large gauge dermal punches on lobes. I don’t know if that’s what caused this lobe piercing to thin out and reject (it probably is not), but I can tell you that this “easy way out” method of jumping to larger gauge lobes can leave a person falling toward the situation below… If you want big healthy lobes, the best way is to go slow, gentle, and treat your body well. Yes, some people get lucky stretching recklessly, but don’t underestimate how heartbreaking it can be to lose big lobes.
(And don’t underestimate how quickly things can turn out like this if you make a wrong turn).

Check out Bobby’s “XXX” piercings (as in straightedge, not as in pornerrific) by Se7en at Sinful Piercing in McMinnville, TN. The interesting thing is that since these will probably reject, if he actually leaves them in until they literally fall out, he’ll be left with a “XXX” scarification done using a very unique method!
