Howie encased the heart-shaped cartilage punch left-overs he did on Helen at the Laundry in Brisbane, Australia. I wonder if it’ll stay looking like this, or if it will decay or change underneath the resin? And could this be implanted as an implant? I don’t see why not, assuming the silicone is biocompatible. Now I’m thinking I have to get something punched out so I can wear it as jewelry… or implant it!

Giles you read my mind. all I can think of is some scientists drilling a hole just far enough to extract some DNA.

I still have the tissue from my conch saved to one side to be mounted in a lobe plug when I’m settled at one size… sadly the conch is only 4mm, this would work far better!
I don’t know about larger chunks of tissue, but I kept my conch in saline for a while, and now it’s dried itself out quite neatly without mould or decay setting in.
Somebody have a word with Von Haagens & see about plastinated plugs! -grins-
