A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Amputation and tattoos about amputation

Let’s start with the tattoos though and make it easy on the more sensitive viewers. For those into something more hardcore, consider it forplay.

Beginning on the left is an amputated “pinkie” finger ballerina by Daniella Degtiar from Israel. No_Pants‘ sleeve (middle) has a rather epic wolf-driven hand amputation, and strengthwithinme‘s pitbull is a little bit aggressive and sometimes retrieves a little bit of the mailman along with the mail (by Al Garcia at North Coast Customs in Mentor, OH).

And for those into the real thing, we go to kicute.

I dont know, i like my digits 🙂
But if you wanna remove something from your body go for it, then again the thought of some sort of 3d arm implant a few years ago was totally alien to me!

If I’m not mistaken (and I don’t think I am) that “wolf driven” aputation is a visual representation of when Fenrisulfr bit the god Týr’s hand off. According to Norse mythology Fenrisulfr was becoming a menace to the gods and so they sought to bind him. In order to get the fetter on Fenrisulfr one of the gods had to place their hand in his mouth as a show of good faith if he couldn’t get out of the fetter. To make a relatively long story short, he couldn’t and he bit Týr’s hand off. Good story.
