As a general rule I think rib tattoos look great on women, and I wanted to share this one by Jason Spainhour and Little John at Little John’s Tattoo in Greensboro, NC. The Arabic text says “Bahaullah” or “The Glory of God Triuphs Over Evil” (the Seal of the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire), and there’s also a Baha’i element with the lotus flowers (I hope I haven’t misquoted the email).

Bahá’u’lláh, whose name means “The Glory of God” in Arabic, was born on 12 November 1817 in Tehran, Iran. In April 1863, before leaving Baghdad, Bahá’u’lláh and His companions camped in a garden on the banks of the Tigris River; Bahá’u’lláh shared that He was the Promised One foretold in all the world’s scriptures (ie: Second Coming). Bahá’u’lláh was banished from His native land, the beginning of 40 years of exile, torture, and persecution. Bahá’u’lláh teaches that all religions have had the same Divine Origin from the same one God, that only because of the different needs of the times and cultures have the religions taken on different forms. The other differences, He says, are attributed to the changes that humanity has made themselves to those religions. Bahá’u’lláh brings many new and great spiritual and social teachings for humanity. Here is a quote from Bahá’u’lláh:
“Justice, is in this day, bewailing its plight, and Equity groaneth beneath the yoke of oppression. The thick clouds of tyranny have darkened the face of the earth, and enveloped its peoples. Through the movement of Our Pen of glory We have, at the bidding of the omnipotent Ordainer, breathed a new life into every human frame, and instilled into every word a fresh potency.”
