A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • Measure Pleasure by the Pain

Sorry about the late post, folks—somebody forgot it was the first day of Passover. Anyway, to round off a day of great faces, here we’ve got a happy gent just cold hangin’ during a resurrection suspension in sunny Costa Rica! Sleep tight, friends—should have some good stuff for you all tomorrow. Until then.

  • Find the Time in My Face

I’m really liking the approach being taken on this facial tattoo by Mike Haines at BioGraphix Tattoo in Syracuse, New York. While I’m personally a fan of heavy black-work, I think the addition of this somewhat unconventional color combination (unconventional in terms of being coupled with black-work, that is) really livens up this project. Definitely looking forward to seeing how this progresses!

  • Kissed Into Smiles Again

Hot damn—between his huge lip plate and stretched medusa, Jenya has altered his appearance more radically than many other people that we’ve seen, but I swear, I don’t know if anybody looks giddier and more satisfied with his appearance on a consistent basis than he does. I say it every time, but Russians, man…hearty stock and all that.

After the jump, his lip without the jewelry.

  • A Mere Heart of Stone

Well, holy crap. Guy sends in this photo of his incredible Charles Darwin portrait by Aliz at Primitive Origins in Hammersmith, London, finished after three sessions. I have nothing to add here: This is some of the more outstanding portraiture I’ve seen in a very long time. I mean, it’s no Leslie Nielsen-butterfly, but still.

  • Rescue Ourselves From Ourselves

Well, folks, it’s time to bring to a close the world-famous “Impromptu Zoo” day on BME’s ModBlog. Rounding out the efforts today is this great leg-piece on Harm, featuring man’s best friend (a dog) engaged in an epic battle with, by far, the greatest threat currently facing the human race (a dragon). You know who wins when someone gets a fantastic tattoo of a dog fighting a dragon? We all do. We all do.

Fare thee well, ModBloggers. Until tomorrow.
