Brian asked me to post this flyer up as well for an “Unholiday Party”. I’m sure it will be a blast if you’re in the NYC area!

Toys for Tots!
Written by
Mamma Tomma sent me this and asked that I post it up on Modblog, so here it is!
Welcome to our Second Annual Tattoo toy drive!
Toys for tots! This event runs for one day only on December 22nd, 2009. We’re putting it on for Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
All toys are given to a child when they come into the hospital for either an appointment or a procedure. Here’s The Deal:
You bring in a decent, unwrapped, new toy (something you’d get your own kid) worth at least $20 or more, and we give you a tattoo worth about an hour of our time, equivalent to a $100 tattoo.
If we can’t get to you that day or if the tattoo is complicated and needs drawing we’ll give you a $50 gift certificate for your toy.
Drop off your toy and get your free tattoo @ Studio 2 Tattoo
6701 SE Foster Road
Portland, Oregon 97266
(503) 772-1765Open 12:00pm – 10:00pm
First come, first served.
Shriners Hospitals for Children is an international health care system providing high quality pediatric specialty care to thousands of kids each year. All care is provided with no financial obligation to the patient or their family, and their mission is made possible solely through the generosity of their donors.

Body Mod News

Here are a few body modification related news stories that caught my eye.
No tattoo parlour deal for Old Town.
“Geno Cassillo, owner of the nearby Brick House Restaurant, cited recent fights and a drug bust in Old Town, and said a tattoo parlor would bring similar activity.” – Am I the only one thinking “Sin City” right now? Of course a tattoo parlour would mean more drugs and more fighting, right? Right…
Rock Bridge senior Logan Parks’ tattoo is more than just ink.
“I’ll see that tattoo in the mirror, and it gets me through every game.” – More than just basketball, this family develops a tradition through ink.
Blackwood 79-year-old takes tattoo plunge.
You’re never too old for a new tattoo!
USF basketball players have tales told in ink.
‘This generation coming up, as time goes on, you can see the tattoos have meaning to them — you have a death in the family, a birth of a child, references to God and faith.” – College basketball and ink collide.
“These Design-y Branding Irons Are Begging For a Hipster Following”
“If you think about all the weird things hardcore hipsters do to their bodies already—DIY tattoos, safety pin piercings—branding doesn’t seem too far-fetched.” – Oh irony… Someone hasn’t heard of a little site called BME.

Beauty in boys shorts
Written by
dagon‘s Crow tattoos are by Josh “Shwa” Keirstead of The Fall in Vancouver, BC and the photo is by Cole Benoit. Dagon is an absolute cutie. I’m not sure if she’s wearing boys briefs but damn if she is she rocks it. The girls of BME really leave me speechless. They’re hot and I’m jealous. Luckily they all send me pretty pictures of themselves.

Brenno Strikes Again!
Written by
I told you I had a scarification from Brenno to follow my earlier post. On top of being a great scarification artist, he’s also a kick ass host. If you’re into learning you should check out the APTPI conference in Milan, Italy. The next conference will be January 15-17th, 2010 and it is not to be missed!
