A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • Just nod if you can hear me…

I’ve had a few people send me this link to a post on Gizmodo.

The original can be found on Design Affairs.

Being hard of hearing myself, I love the idea of this concept where function and fashion meet. A hearing aid built into a tunnel or a plug is really cool idea (in my not-so-humble opinion). It would be great to see this concept become reality. Reading some of the comments though, I think a lot of people fail to realize how many young (and not quite as young as we used to be) are hard of hearing or deaf and interested in body modification. Sure, we’re probably a fringe market but a girl can dream, can’t she?

  • Behind the mask lies the real man

    faceoff

Casper is not just a tattoo artist and piercer, he is also a hobbyist photographer and photo editor. It seems that with the advent of digital SLR cameras and photoshop that more and more artist from our community are getting into photography as well. I know Modblog readers like to complain when an image it obviously photoshopped, but I thought these were interesting enough to justify the editing. For more of Casper’s photography check out his Flickr page.

And for one more man behind the madness type of picture, keep on keeping on.

If you like photography, maybe you would be a good candidate for the BME World tour.

  • You wouldn’t buy a car without a test drive….

..so why would you get magnetic implants without giving them a try right away?

    nails

These magnetic implants were done by alienboy, who you may remember from one of his many modblog features or this interview.

On a side note: These magnetic implants were a fairly recent submission so I assume they are the newer generation of magnets that have not been known to have the same coating failure issues the initial batch did.

  • I know X-mas is over but if they can have year round x-mas stores, I can post this!

This Santa comes from the Lucifugius BME Hard Bonus Gallery so I am sure you bright Modblog readers can figure out exactly what this “puppet” is made of.

    guess

For the full shot, and the mod content that justifies this as a post, keep on keeping on.

The “mouth” is actually a fresh above the scrotum urethral reroute.

    haton

Unbelievably, I am NOT responsible for the “Ho, ho, ho…” that is exactly how the image was submitted to BME, God bless him.

  • It’s a…..whatchamacallit

I love the rare times when I run across a picture of a piercing and I am not exactly sure what to call it. This was in the transverse and vertical lobe gallery and it was labeled only as a transverse lobe. However since it exits in the anti-tragus area and not in the lobe that name seems a little generic and non-descript.  Anyhow, I am sure it’s been done before and possibly even named before, so if anyone has any knowledge or clever suggestions, you should share them in the comments.
