A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • How many licks does it take to get to the subcutaneous layer?

The first time I saw this photo in thumbnail form, I though it was cool. Though at first glance, I failed  to realize he was getting implants in his head, I thought he was just chilling with a lollipop!

Eric certainly looks calm and serene here, sucking on his lollipop while having dermal elevators worked into his noggin.

  • Only in a fluid sharing relationship…

…would it ever be considered ok to take out someone’s hooks, clean them off and then see what piercings of yours they would fit into.

Kevin, who submitted these pictures had this to say:

My girlfriend and I the day after her performance suspension in Columbus, OH for the band Only Flesh.  After lovingly massaging the air from her back and cleaning her shark hooks, I played around by putting the hooks in everything I could, like my 6g labret as seen here.  This photo seems to show a lovely middle-ground between my piercing/stretching obsession and her affinity for ink.  I’m so glad we share the same affinity for body modification 🙂  Photo by Samantha Hodges.

PS: I believe those shark hooks he refers to are actually salmon hooks.

  • Good Sportsmanship

Webster’s Dictionary defines sportsmanship as : “conduct (as fairness, respect for one’s opponent, and graciousness in winning or losing).”

Well, I should get a good sportsmanship metal for what I am doing here now, posting a nude shot of my closest legitimate piercing competitor Hannah, who works at Fatty’s Tattoo in DC.

  • It’s Springtime!

Even though we have had some ridiculously Summer like weather in my area, technically, it is still Spring. You know what that means? Dandelions! Weeds to some, beautiful flowers to others, but either way you can’t avoid them.

Ryan Oullette, who a lot of you may remember as the Lord Of The Blade, made sure for one lucky client of his, that dandelion season is year round. I don’t really like dandelions, or any plant for that matter, enough to carve it into my leg. However, if I was going to get a slab of bacon carved into me, you can be damn sure I’d stop by Precision Body Arts to hit up Ryan.

  • The beauty of simplicity

As I was moderating images for BME, I came across this photo and I had to take the time out of what I was doing to jump over here and share it with all of you. This stunning photo was submitted to BME by xmasgirl (not sure if she has an IAM page or not).

There is something so beautiful in the simplicity of this photo and the serene look on her face just makes me feel happy. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend. As for our BME World Tour group, they have arrived safe and sound in Australia and so, the tour officially begins!
