A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • The Friday Follow-up

Can you believe it’s Friday already?  Where did the week go?

This week’s follow-up comes to us from that wacky Aussie Anders.  This anchor scarification was done over 18 months ago, which means that this scar is pretty much healed, although with it being on a finger, anything can still happen.

To see how it looks today, you know what to do.

For such a high-traffic area, that came out remarkably clean and distinctive.  I’m also shocked at how even it healed seeing as how it’s located right on the joint.

Have you got photos of your scars both fresh and healed?  If so, submit them to BME today and you could end up being featured in an upcoming Friday Follow-up.

  • Supa sized branding

I did a quick search for Supa in the archives and didn’t turn up any results, which is a shame because we’ve all been missing out on taking a look at the incredible brandings that he has on his head.

Supa is a member of Kaptive8 Suspension Crew who just opened up a BME Gallery of their own, so we should be seeing a lot more from Supa and the rest of the crew.  Anti, Supa’s teammate from Kaptive8 did the brandings.

  • Octoscar

While it isn’t Friday, I’ve got a follow-up scar for you guys and gals.  Now the follow-up is only a couple of days old, which is why I’m not posting it tomorrow, but that shouldn’t take away from your enjoyment of this scar by Neek Boggs.

As you can see, it’s still pretty fresh, and if I’m not mistaken, you can even see a little bruising around the edges of a couple of the cuts.  Plus, how often do you get to see an octopus wearing a bow?

  • Third eye fox

The gang over at Self Sacrifice in London have been steadily updating their portfolio galleries over the past couple of weeks with a lot of quality work.  This fox is just one of the many tattoo photos that Nick Whybrow sent in to his  own gallery.

Now because I just spent the past few weeks watching Game of Thrones I couldn’t help but to think of the raven with 3 eyes when I saw this.  Of course with the moon, the pipe, and the green smoke, it does give off a pretty fantastical vibe.

  • Sangre de la Rosa

For this fine Thursday morning I’ve got something new from Misty‘s ever growing BME portfolio gallery.

It took about 2 hours to do the cutting, and if you can’t tell by the above photo, it’s located right above the sternum, a place known for producing some interesting scars on people.  Here’s a closer look at the rose itself.

I can’t wait to see how this one heals up.

If you were wondering how you could get your own BME portfolio gallery, simply send an email to Jen, [email protected], and let her know.  Artists of all kinds are welcome to set up their own galleries, as well as studios, suspension crews, and more.  Once you’ve got your gallery set up, all you have to do is label all your photo submissions with your own tag using the handy uploading tool, and you’re good to go.
