I’m a big fan of the band Godspeed You Black Emperor, so it was pretty cool to see this tattoo done by Ryan Zachary in Portland, OR. That reminds me — for fans of the band, check out Archive.org‘s selection of live concerts they’ve done!

I think IAM:48×16 (good numbers: username improved from the original) has a great chestpiece (or at least a hilarious one, and I figure that’s a good thing). It’s designed and executed by Nate Hough of House of Poncho’s in Edgewood, Maine, and he implores you, “Do not take my design!”

Abstract Black Arm Tattoo

I’ve featured work by Lionel (Out of Step, France) here before, but I really liked the way this full-black forearm was capped off. I think I’d like it better though if the hand was fully black as well, as if he’d fallen into a barrel of black ink or something. But black hands are pretty weird looking I guess and would move the tattoo into a very different visual space.
