A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • Floral Play Piercing to Match Tattoo

Nickk Leading at Perforations/Mantra Tattoo in Lakewood, Colorado recently did this play piercing session with just eight 25ga needles on Jessica, with artificial flowers in the needles to match her back tattoo. Some more photos follow after the break.

  • Inspired by SLAYER

I was wondering for how many people the first contact they had with cutting and scarification was Slayer artwork (a la the oft-emulated cover of “Serenity in Murder” in 1995) — I’d wager that for more people than might admit it that Slayer was what “flipped the switch”. Anyway, not that it’s the first time I’ve posted a Slayer scar (remember “GOD HATES US ALL“?), but a couple from the last update got me thinking about it again.

This first one, a nape cutting, and his first time behind the blade, was gingerly cut by Jasn at Pacific Rootz in Maui, Hawaii.

On the other hand, Matias went I think a little more metal with his DIY slayer scar, choosing to cut it first with a scalpel as well, but, not satisfied with the level of damage, followed it up with a recut/burn with a red-hot knife.

  • No excuse for it

You know, given that for at least the last decade there’s been lots of easy to find information on suitable jewelry and the appropriate placement of that jewelry, it always surprises — and offends — me that it’s still a daily event to see poorly placed and generally irresponsible body art (such as the terrible nostril and industrial I recently posted). For example, why do I still see shallow navels like this all the time?

The only thing that could make it worse is this jewelry, which my friend Anders actually removed from a customer’s body! It was bought at a flea market in Australia…

And don’t get me started on tattoos. Every day I see tattoos — from long-surviving studios no less — where my first thought is that the average ten year old kid could probably draw something better. I don’t know if I’m more shocked that the artists are wholly unaware of their shortcomings, or that the clients are. I mean, it’s not like you can’t get tattoo magazines at every store, showing you what a tattoo is “supposed” to looked like… Can people really not tell the difference?

  • Impgrin Interview Posted

Ooops! I forgot today was still Winter Break at school, so I don’t have time to post here until this evening on account of it being a day of four-year-old play. However, I quickly blasted through 1,800 images which are uploading now, and I’m reposting another one of my BodyTwo interviews, this time the very personal and touching “Impgrin” interview about a life exploring genital inflation and then a love story that repairs a set of genitals deeply damaged from mineral oil injections gone wrong.

Click through to read the interview and come back here to comment.
