A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • Hello, it’s 1978 calling!

I don’t know why nostril-to-ear chains ever fell out of fashion. Every time I see someone reviving the style I smile. There’s no facetiousness in my words — I’m being 100% serious. I really love the way it looks.

  • A couple of very nice chests

Sorry, it’s not a boob entry, I just wanted to post a couple of chestpieces from recent updates that I really liked. This acorn-themed piece, c/o munin_and_hugin, is by Jeremy Fierto at Liquid Courage in Omaha, NE.

The second chestpiece I wanted to put up for adoration is this fetus c/o fist_intheair, tattooed by Heather Mclean at Strange World Tattoo in Calgary, Alberta.

  • Interview with GC and Duff Posted

I’ve just posted another in my series of interviews on lip plates, a modification which I find absolutely fascinating because of how far it pushes facial aesthetics past our cultural norms. This time I talked to G.C. from the UK and Duff from Russia (both her and her husband have lip plates) for some additional viewpoints to the ones raised by Toph in the previous interview on the subject.

  • The Doctor Is On Fire!

I’m told that ModBlog will be offline briefly tonight for some maintenance that will hopefully address some of the slow-down and inaccessibility issues we’ve been having this week. It shouldn’t be offline for very long.

Other than that, enjoy today’s content and the interview with DJ Minor, and I’ll return tomorrow morning with a couple thousand more pictures (half of which are in BME/extreme and BME/HARD — memberships are available again if you didn’t notice) as well as another new interview. Finally, c/o iam:crazy4tat2s2004, this awesome Valentine’s day “Body Two” style Dr. BME tattoo by Patty Colebank at Thinkin’ Ink in Morgantown, West Virginia.

  • Base Of The Shaft Apadravya

Quite a rare piercing, this deep shaft piercing (lots of pictures are in tomorrow’s update, or continue reading for more here) passes vertically through the base of the penis — I remember reading Jon Cobb describing how much physical force it takes to do this piercing when he recounted doing his own by pounding the needle through, using a large Maglite flashlight as a hammer! While these can be healed, they do take time, and there is some minimal risk of nerve damage, the kind of nerve damage your really don’t want to get.

Jon got his as a “clit knocker” type accessory, but the enthusiast in this entry actually uses it to secure a large bracelet around the base of the shaft.
