  • Depeche Mode Tattoo

    As a point of trivia, the text (the sort of dot-matrix effect) was her first tattoo, and then Heidi Hay added the band caricatures later. I’m assuming that’s album art or something along those lines, but I definitely think this is better than most band tattoos I get (or maybe I’m just a sucker for cartoons).

  • Semper Fi Script Tattoo

    This tattoo is by Mike Haines at Scarab Body Arts in Syracuse, and is one of the nicer “Semper Fi” themed tattoos I’ve received. He also has a mini-portfolio on BME that you can check out.

    And you can never go wrong with a partially de-clothed Marine, right?

  • Bryan Adams Tattoo

    Heh Hey, it’s not the song I’d have chosen personally to tattoo on my back, but good for her for at least getting the tune right… Db – Dbsus4 – Gb – Db… Most people are too sloppy to bother. Anyway, this is by Steve the Gypsy in Sheffield. I do not know if that’s gypsy as in Gypsy Cab or as in Gypsy Moth, of if he’s an actually a bonafide gypsy.

    I know, I know, they’re often the same thing — especially if you’re talking about oldschool DIY punk rather than modern corporate marketting theme punk — but I thought that these two tattoos represented two good examples of very different ways of saying effectively the same thing.
