A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • Bart Simpson Buddies

These two are by Danielle DeMuro at Magnum Tattoo in St. Augustine, FL.

For other examples of matching tattoos featured here, check out classy broads, father and daughter, Serbian brothers, newlyweds, and of course gay skinheads tattooed with each other’s blood.

  • I <3 Geek Girls

Since they’re always a hit, let me share a few more pictures from our growing archive of geek and nerd tattoos. Check out these two (both on the same person) of a Resident Evil Umbrella Corporation logo, as well as the start of an Amityville Horror chest piece. Both tattoos are by Jay Chapman at Hallowed Ground Body Art Studio in Portland, Maine.

And now for something a little more traditional, a Linux Tux with some binary:

Note that the binary is fresh in this picture and you can see a donut of swelling (or the person has bizarro musculature, ha).

  • Please, don’t bring back prohibition!

I definitely don’t have a problem with straight edge tattoos in general, but I have to admit that the message of Keith’s “bring back prohibition” tattoo (by Alex Franklin at Brooklyn Ink in NYC) kind of rubs me the wrong way.

I’m all for people taking control over their own lives and choosing this path if it feels right to them, but I think it’s a mistake when you actually call for this lifestyle to be imposed on other people by force of law — I’m not comfortable with a government telling me what I can and can not do to my body.

  • Patchwork Heart Tattoo

A little while back I posted Selena’s patchwork heart with sparrows tattoo. I wanted to share another one here that I quite liked (and no, it’s not just because I’m a total sucker for tattoos in this location on pretty girls), by Keith at Red Lantern, in San Diego, CA. Each of the different patches represents a different influence — or heartbreak — in her life.

  • “No Title” by Charles Bukowski

by Shawn at Shaman’s Den in Binghamton NY.

    all theories
    like clichés
    shot to hell,
    all these small faces
    looking up
    beautiful and believing;
    I wish to weep
    but sorrow is
    stupid.
    I wish to believe
    but belief is a
    graveyard.
we have narrowed it down to
    the butcherknife and the
    mockingbird.
    wish us
    luck.
