I think what I like most about this Escher tattoo (by Holdie at 954 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida) is the choice of colors — seeing a tattoo with red and black is of course not that uncommon, but I don’t think I see flat areas of matte gray very often… It’s neat because at least for me, when I see color choices that are different from what I’ve been conditioned are “tattoo colors”, it really changes the way I perceive the piece I think.

Normally “wish you were here” tattoos are of the friendly, reminiscing sort… but stick that slogan on a couple coffins and I have to wonder whether it’s quite so friendly after all?
