A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • Red Sox Stitching Tattoo

I had to look at this Boston Red Sox tattoo a few times to convince myself it was real — I thought it might be painted in place! This is a fresh photo, but I’m inclined to say that it’s going to look a lot like it was embroidered in place when it’s all healed as well. This was done by Krystof at Pisst Fish Tattoo & Piercing in West Springfield, MA.

  • Bud Man Tattoo

Krystof from Pisst Fish Tattoo & Piercing in West Springfield, MA also sends in this Bud Man tattoo. I’m more of a smoking bud than drinking Bud kind of guy, so I’ve never really thought about how appropriate that slogan is to tattooing — “This is who I am. This is what I like. This is what I do. This is where I’m from.”

  • Roses

Hahaha, I thought her fingers were a nipple when I first glanced at the picture. Oh, wishful thinking from a sideboob lover I suppose. New school tattoo by the very talented Jay Marceau at D-Markation in Quebec City, Canada.

Anyway… Enjoy today’s update, and if you haven’t already, don’t forget to check out the recent additions to BME/News:

I think for “BME 2007″ (our 13th year!) I’m going to integrate ModBlog, QOD, BMEnews, and so on all into a single content system… There are so many different sections on BME that should be combined I think (not easy when you have to convert a massive 1995-style CMS!).

  • Guys and Girls

Disaster, pictured on the left, has this great JAM OUT WITH YOUR CLAM OUT foot tattoo by Bobby Tripp at Electric Tattoo in Edmonton, AB. I couldn’t find a ROCK OUT WITH YOUR COCK OUT tattoo in recent submissions, so I’ll share male tattoo number two, a sacred cheeseburger and fries by Adam Harris at New Tribe in Brixham, Devon UK.

  • Delayed Allergic Response?

    Last week I got this interesting letter and photos;

"My tattoo is almost five years old, healed beautifully, hasn't been retouched, and held its colors amazingly well. I never had a problem with it, until September, when I got back from Burning Man. A week or so after I got back, the red outlining on the right side of my tattoo starting itching really bad and I was constantly scratching at it. The left side (both sides are identical) itched also, but not as badly, and didn't end up scarring. I'm still not sure why the reaction happened."

So… what did ookumbubbleoo do take at Burning Man?

  • Red Dragon Tattoo Variation

This full body tattoo is based on the tattoo from the movie Red Dragon. It was begun earlier this year and is about twenty hours in and still in progress, being done by Eli Isiah of Banzai Tattoo in Pearl City, Hawaii.

  • What does this say?

OK, I admit I have no other reason in posting this than the hope that someone will tell me what it says.

  • Bike Love

This enthusiastic bike tattoo is on Sickbrunettekill, by Chad at Caribbean Connection in Jacksonville, FL.
