A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • Hey, Who Wants To Be On Television?

As you all know, every once in a while we get press releases and casting calls forwarded our way in which some of you fine folks may or may not be interested. This is one of them!

ABC’s WIFE SWAP CASTING FOR PEOPLE PASSIONATE ABOUT BODY MODIFICATION (AND THEIR FAMILIES) $20k

ABC’s primetime series “Wife Swap” is currently casting its fifth season and looking for unique families to take part in the show. Families who participate in this documentary-style program are given a unique opportunity to share their beliefs and lifestyles with another family. It is truly a once in a lifetime experience that can be life-changing for everyone.

Each week on Wife Swap, the mothers from two families with different values and belief systems will exchange lives. It’s an amazing family experience and opportunity to learn how others lead their lives. Half of the week, mom lives the life of the family she is staying with. After making her observations, she introduces several “rule changes,” where she implements rules and activities that are important to her family. It’s a positive experience for people to not only learn but teach about other families and other ways of life. Wife Swap airs on Disney owned ABC television on Fridays at 8 pm.
If you are a family with at least one child over the age of 5 living and you think your family would be a good fit for the show, contact us to be a part of this show.

  • The Bearing is Pain

Is it just me, or do these top o’ the breast microdermal stars by Damien Caskey at Los Angeles’s RicRoks Tattoos seem vaguely reminiscent of the type of projects done by Sean Dowdell and crew? Not to suggest at all that Caskey is copying them or anything of the sort—I mean it as an observation of how microdermals really seem to be increasingly worn in an almost “fashion-y” kind of way. I’m a big fan of these kinds of microdermal project, so whether they’re becoming “mainstream” or not, I know I’d like to see more of them. And hey, there’s another photo after the jump! What a country.

  • Risk Anything

Good afternoon, ModBloggers! Let’s start the week off with this calming, peaceful piece done in five-and-a-half straight hours by Joseph at Visual Orgasm in Rochor, Singapore. Anyone else feel like going back to sleep? No? Just me? Alright, alright.

  • And That’s Why You Don’t Teach Lessons

Well folks, that’ll do it for this fine weekend, and what better way to wrap up The Lord’s Day than with this hilarious (and thoroughly bizarre) old school-ish piece from Max Brain in Varese, Italy, of, hmm, Satan molesting a futuristic Boy Scout? Elroy Jetson, maybe? Either way, there’s a valuable lesson to gleaned here, and that is…huh. No matter the kind of virtuous life you try to lead, the devil will find a way to lick your forehead? Works for me. Until tomorrow, ModBloggers.

  • Endless Elsewhere

Ahoy-hoy, ModBloggers! Hope the weekend finds you well. Sorry for the late post today—Internet at the manor has been a real kick in the dick all day. Anyway! Here’s some fine portraiture work by Josh Reynolds from Cannibal Graphics in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. What can I say? I’m a sucker from Day of the Dead/pinup/Virgin Mary iconography. (Which we see all the time, believe me.)

    Oh, and one more thing…

If you’re in Toronto, the Seven Crowns gents, George and Matt (above) are hosting a gallery showing of tattoo art at Rocky Raccoon’s! I’ll be there along with resident BME photo magician Phil Barbosa, so come on out and say hello, etc. Here’s the info:

On Saturday, May 30th we’ll be holding the “Monsters, Martyrs and May-sterpieces” show at Rocky Raccoon’s, 2579 Yonge St. in Toronto, a study in fantastically terrifying and disturbingly cheerful art pieces from the tattoo world. We will be displaying our own art as well as that of local tattoo artists, and would love for everyone to come and check it out. The event will start around 8pm, and there will be cheap drinks and free food, along with music by Sarah B. and other features that promise to tantalize and…you get the idea. Come out and celebrate art with us.
