    Shawn sent me this footage (from some point in 1988) of his old friend Jack Yount and included the following..

    “My first contribution to BME back in 1995 was a memorial article for my friend and mentor Jack Yount. The images that accompanied the article, as well as hundreds to be posted in following years to my own spcOnline site (currently offline), gave you a glimpse of Jack’s extraordinary modifications. This video, taken some years before we met, shows the start of his iconic transformation. It’s my hope however that you look past what Jack has done to his body and listen to the kindness and warmth in his voice.”

  • Tattoo removal, emphasis on “removal”?

    More like tattoo replacement…? Or maybe this is one of those Merchant of Venice type removals where one has to debate exactly what’s getting removed to come up with a pound of flesh.

    This customer of Shawn O’Hare‘s came into Fillmore Tattoo and Piercing not particularly liking his old cliché of a tribal tattoo, so Shawn replaced it with a nice hefty keloid version of itself that’s much nicer. They got almost all of the ink out, but it looks like a few specs stayed as a ghost.

    On his own, he’s just a six, but when Brad and his friends get together, they do the devil’s work. Their brands are DIY pieces done with a coat hanger. Before you say anything, coat hangers actually work quite well for branding and are very capable, even in an inexperienced DIY context, of producing very nice results.
