A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • The air up there

When Karina wants to hang out, she does it in style.

I’ve been wrong before, and if I am again I’m sure I’ll be corrected, but this appears to be a 2 point resurrection suspension.

Aside from the fact that Karina is beautiful the shot itself is breathtaking.  Not only is she suspended by the hooks, but she’s also pulling up on herself, giving the photo a feeling that she’s the one that is lifting herself into the air, and not the hooks.

  • A bloody good time

Brian Wood from Golden Spiral Studio in Greensboro, NC sent in these photos of a recent resurrection suspension he facilitated.  You may remember Brian’s work from the last Friday Follow-up.

I don’t know if Brian is responsible for the scar on the woman’s leg, but what I do know is it looks like everyone had a bloody good time.

Keep in mind not every person is identical, so don’t take her bleeding as any indication of how every suspension is.  Heck, I’m pretty sure there are a good number of ModBlog readers who love the sight of blood.

  • Post-apocalyptic resurrection

IAM: Arseniy Andersson is at it again.  Last time we saw him on ModBlog he was throwing hooks for a suicide suspension photoshoot with a chess board.  This time around, he helped out Sanya Gordon with her first suspension.  But of course, it wouldn’t be Arseniy if there wasn’t a dramatic element involved.

To see how the suspension itself went, keep on reading.

Now I’m not sure if this is Sanya’s normal attire, or something special for the suspension, but either way it looks pretty awesome.  With the focus in the second picture focused on the hooks, it looks like Sanya has faded off into her own space, tethered to this world by the hooks and rope.  It’s as if without those hooks, she would drift away.  I was almost tempted to post this image upside down, just because of the dreamlike quality it evokes would make it appear she’s floating away.

Resurrection suspensions always seem to evoke this type of feeling.  The rebirth that suspensions can evoke in a person’s spirit is truly encapsulated with the resurrection.  Take a look for yourself in the resurrection gallery.

  • Giving in, in the great outdoors.

Summer is here, and you know what that means……beautiful tranquil outdoor suspensions!

Like, for example, this resurrection suspension set up by my friends in ihung.  Check out that rigging plate, besides being a good way to plug the group name, it is also providing a nice support for this young lady to hold onto after coming down from her suspension.

To see her suspending, and to fully see the tranquil setting, keep on keeping on.

That handsome bearded man is Jason, a man who deserves a lot of credit for his contributions to the suspension community over the last several years.

PS: If you would like to partake in a beautiful outdoor piercings yourself, the upcoming ROP Campout in Pittsfield, Mass. would be a good time to do so.

  • Not a creature was stirring

This is the last post of the day before we all scurry off to bed and wait patiently for Santa to bring us presents. I’m sure you’ve all been very good little boys and girls so I’ll give you this one present early. Biohazard sent in this peacefully photo to comfort us on this Christmas Eve..
