I’ve just posted the first in the series of piercing and mod-artist interviews, starting with Anders, The Piercing Guy, who I think nicely represents the “middle of the road” in terms of quality piercers, with plenty of experience without being “too extreme” or “too conservative”… Goldilocks would love him.

After having posted an interview a day all week, I’m taking a break for at least a few days with this great chat with Johnny Thief, which I think is definitely the one to read if you want to really “get” what American tattooing is about (at least in my mind). I enjoyed reading his responses immensely, and have presented them here almost exactly as they were received and without edit or restructuring, in the hope that you’ll enjoy them just as much as I did in their pure form.

I’ve just posted another in my series of interviews on lip plates, a modification which I find absolutely fascinating because of how far it pushes facial aesthetics past our cultural norms. This time I talked to G.C. from the UK and Duff from Russia (both her and her husband have lip plates) for some additional viewpoints to the ones raised by Toph in the previous interview on the subject.

I was interested in talking to Fabrizio because his artwork was clearly from a fine art background, with many of his tattoos being evolutions of his cubist paintings.
