    It seems like this week has been pretty good for BMEGirl submissions so let’s have another one today.  Pincusion Princess here always manages to send in fantastic pictures and this week she sent in quite a few.  Below are just two of the ones you can find in the BMEGirls Gallery.

  • Chin up!

    A few weeks back at the Philly Tattoo Convention I had the chance to take some photos for Mandic of his chin scarification piece.  This cutting by Brian was a pretty bloody affair.

    Oh, you want to see the pictures of the cutting?  Just keep on reading.

    This is about three quarters of the way through the cutting, and also the time that the bleeding was at its worst.  The top and bottom parts of the scar and had already been peeled away, and what remained was a stretch of skin right along the tip of his chin.

    The tiny hands (well, tinier than Brian’s) belong to Dyscordic, who was assisting.

    Finally, here’s how the scar looked just before it was wrapped up.

    Oh, and you can definitely expect to see this as a follow-up post once it has healed a little more.

    If you recall, we kicked off this year with a post featuring subboez‘s DIY circumcision.  Well, it’s been a while, so let’s check in and see how things are healing up.  But before we get to the healed picture, here is his foreskin which he kept by drying it out in a tube.

  • A BME family needs our help

    A couple of days ago, tragedy befell two long time members of our community.  A fire broke out at the home of Breeze and Ubuntu, two long time BME members and supporters, and completely destroyed their home.  The family was able to make it out with the clothes on their back but everything else was lost.  In addition to losing their home, they also lost all but one of their pets (2 dogs, 5 cats, a rat, and a ferret).

    Breeze and Derek have helped a good number of BME members over the years, and today they need your help.  There are a number of ways that you can help out.  For starters, there is a facebook group that is being updated regularly by both friends and family.  As I mentioned before, they were only able to get out with the clothes on their back, so donations of any necessities are more than welcome.

    For those thinking of donating clothes, here are the family’s sizes:

Boxes would also help. It also occurred to me that we need to start cleaning up in the next week or so and to do that we’ll need shovels, rakes, garbage bags, work gloves…things like that. Thank you so much♥”
