A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • The Friday Follow-up

Last week we got a look at Alan‘s fresh chin cutting that Brian did at the Philadelphia Tattoo Convention back in February.  If you don’t remember, you can find the original story, with all the bloody photos, right here.  Now normally when it comes to the Friday Follow-up I’ll post a photo of the scar as fresh as possible, and then how it looks after healing up.  With the original story being only last week, I thought for a change of pace you can see a true before and after comparison.  Plus, Alan’s looking pretty good in these photos so we’ll also call this the Friday BMEBoy post as well.

So here’s how Alan looked pre-cutting.

To see how his mug looks now, you know what to do.

For those keeping track, in addition to the chin scar, Alan also has had his cartilage punched by Mr. Decker, and his tongue split DIY style.  Oh and he has a fondness for old school tattoos.

  • He’s got style

Is there anything Efix can’t do?  From his scarification work to his surgical modifications, Efix can pretty much take on any challenge and pull it off brilliantly.  Heck, even when he’s taking a rare break to relax while on his Australian tour, he still looks good.  So good in fact that he’s totally worthy of today’s BMEBoy post!

  • The Friday Follow-up

This week’s Follow-up is one of the most recognizable band logos in the modified world.  I think I’ve seen more Misfits related tattoos than any other band.  Anders did this Misfits inspired cutting about a month ago over top of some heavy blackwork.

To see how it’s coming along, keep on reading.

The glare of the flash is a little distracting, but you can see just how well the scar held together.  You can get a better look at this and more of Anders’ scars in his BME portfolio gallery.

This badass skull was sent in by one of the newest IAM members, Glam Zombie.

He tattooed this piece on fellow artist Jason Angst.  You can see the skull in all it’s full-sized glory in the skull tattoo gallery.

  • Efix Down Under

That tiny frenchman we all love is currently slicing and dicing his way across Australia.  While on the road sticking things into, and cutting things off of people, he’s taking pictures and sending them our way.  In his most recent cutting, Efix took some scars that were already present and crafted this incredible Quan Yin.

Keep an eye on Efix’s BME portfolio gallery for the latest updates from his adventures in Oz.
