A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

It is with great sadness that I have to post that the BME community has lost an awesome, funny, brilliant and kind member. Last night, Adam Aries passed away in his sleep. Adam was like a brother to many. He touched hundreds if not thousands of people through his work with RoP as well as being a body piercer. Unfortunately we do not have any more details other than what I have posted. Please see the update at the bottom of the post regarding services.

  • A Canadian Down Under – A Final Mantra

In today’s final look at Quebec artist Efix Roy‘s tour of Australia we have a special cutting that really strikes to the core of how much a scarification piece can impact a person both physically and spiritually.

That’s it for today’s look into the works of Quebec artist Efix Roy.  If you’re in Australia and missed him on his recent trip, he’ll be back down in November, so get in touch with him to set up an appointment.

  • A Canadian Down Under – The Invader

So coming off the incredible Triforce implant, we move into a completely different type of geek domain. While working out of Modify in Adelaide, Australia Efix took his knife to a big fan of Invader Zim.

Just one more post to go in today’s look at Efix’s Australian tour, but this is just a small sample of what can be found in his portfolio gallery on BME.

  • A Canadian Down Under – The Triforce

Alright, I’m going to be honest.  I totally geeked out really hard when I saw that Efix had put this in someone’s hand.  I had a chance to sit down with him right before he left for Australia and he showed me some of the implants he was putting in people while down there, but he must have hid this one from me.  In any case, as you can see, in addition to being an artist with a scalpel, he can take a piece of silicone and transform a hand into something epic.

This piece in particular isn’t found in his scarification portfolio, but can be found in the 3D-Art Implant Gallery.

  • A Canadian Down Under – A Retrospective

Today is a special day, as we’re going to be spending the day taking a look at the works of Efix Roy.  Over the past few weeks Efix has been touring around Australia doing what he does best so today will be a small showcase of the work he did while on tour.  So to kick off the day we’re going to be starting with his roots, literally.  Over the course of an hour he was able to take a section of a client’s back and add this tree cutting.

The posts today are just a small sample of what this artist is capable of, so head over to his BME Portfolio Gallery to see what else he can do.
