A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • The Friday Follow-up

This Friday we’ve got a special edition of the follow-up.  JesseV from Thrive Studios in Cambridge, On was gracious enough to send in a pair of healed scars.

First up we have a scar from two years ago.  The detail in this photo isn’t great, but it should give you the rough idea of the scar before you see the finished product.

    Fresh - 2 years ago

Next we have a scar that was done about one year ago.  What you’re seeing is the end result of a 6 hour cutting session.

    Fresh - 1 year ago

To see what both these scars look like today, you know what to do.

Two years later, that flower now looks like this.

    Healed - 2 years later

As for that marathon 6 hour session, here’s what came of it, one year later.

    Healed - 1 year later

You can see more work by JesseV in his BME portfolio gallery.

  • Ear pointing redux

To some, getting their ears pointed is one of the last steps they can take with their upper ear.  Well Zephyr*Elf here has shown us that not only was she not finished with her ear pointing, she also intended to get them pointed a second time.  Back in July she had the opportunity to meet up with Efix Roy and have her ears pointed for the second time.  The initial pointing was done by Lukas Zpira, who did a fantastic job, but for the look Zephyr was going for a second pointing was necessary, as you can see by just how pointed the end result is.  In addition to the second pointing, he also scalpeled her lobes, with her 20mm lobe going to 1 inch, and her reconstructed lobe being reopened to 10mm.  So, now that a few months have passed, you can see just how well everything healed up.

If you want to see photos of the ears just after the procedure, you can find them on her IAM page.

  • Stress Relief 101

People de-stress in many different ways.  Some prefer a hot bath, while others do yoga, and there are even those who prefer things like paintball to relieve tension.  When the lovely Danae gets stressed, she finds that suspending is the best way to clear her mind.  Take her most recent knee suspension.  You can see in the photos just how calming it is for her, as if all the stress in her body is flowing downwards and out, leaving her clearheaded and peaceful.

  • An excellent use of tools

The last time we saw Lucass he was demonstrating the single greatest idea to prevent you from losing your keys.  By popular demand he’s sent in a new photo of his transscrotal tube sans accoutrement.  Instead he’s opted for a simple and elegant tube to show off his impressive stretching.

Of course to see this tool free, you’ll have to keep on reading.

Now I’m sure Lucass can fill you in on exactly what tools were required to get this job done.

  • Three week reversal

The tongue is an incredible part of the human anatomy.  Considering the fact that when it is split down the middle it not only remains perfectly functional, but each half can be moved independently of the other.  Of course to some people who have their tongue split, there may come a day when they wish to have it reversed.  This is where Brian comes in.  You see, not only does Brian excel at scarification and every other mod he can think of, he’s also able to expertly reverse the process of a tongue split.

Take a look at this recent reversal.

    Fresh

Now take a look at the tongue only three weeks later..

From here it looks like the tongue never was split to begin with.  An impressive feat by both Brian, and the almighty tongue.

  • The Refined Gentleman

He is a man of impeccable tastes.  Always knowledgeable of the finer things in life.  And you can always spot him in the crowd as the classiest looking, probably sporting a dignified mustache .  To give an example of such refinement, The Wong Fukin Person has sent in this photo.

To see the non-blurred version of this dapper looking young man, you know what to do.

You probably recognize the hafada jewelry from the last time we saw Wong.  It’s just a shame he didn’t send this in last month because I probably would have used this photo for a Movember Monday.

  • Another day down by the iHung river

Every single time the iHung.org gang gets together outside, magic happens.  This time is no different.

A couple weeks back Jason made the drive down from Toronto to Columbus to help xromance with a couple of suspensions.  What they caught on film was something that is becoming a staple of their portfolio, a tranquil setting for a life changing experience.  I caught flack from Jason a couple weeks ago over dinner when he told me to stop referring to him as iHung.  The fact is, iHung is much more than Jason.  Here’s what their mission statement says.

ihung consists of individuals who believe that it is our calling, as modern practitioners of ancient rituals, to find a balance between reverence and respect for the past and the latest techniques in order to provide safe, clean, positive and meaningful experiences.

With that said, lets get back to xromance’s 2-point suicide suspension.  Because as big a part of the experience as the team is, in the end it is all about the person suspending and what they personally get out of the experience.

To see a couple more shots with her in the air, keep on reading..

To see more suspensions from the iHung team, check our their BME gallery.

  • Betsy Braddock pales in comparison

Now I don’t know if this Psylocke can create psionic daggers like her comic book namesake, but she can easily knock you out with her looks.

Of course to get a better idea of just how gorgeous she is, you’ll have to keep reading…

I’m completely in love with the “sewn on” leg tattoos she has.  And the leopard print by Chris Rohaley is pretty awesome as well.

Compared to the British comic book mutant, this Swedish beauty is definitely the better Psylocke in my books.

  • Silhouette at dusk

As the sun sets in the Brazilian sky, Joao_Caldara looks out on the world.  For us at home/work, we get to admire not only the setting sun that he sees, but also see it from a different perspective, which is through his lobes.

Of course some of you may be wondering what Joao looks like in the light.  Thankfully he sent in another photo for your viewing pleasure.

  • BMEGirls make Fridays so much better.

I’m continually reminded that Friday is traditionally BMEGirls day, and it’s not that I don’t want to post them on Fridays, I just don’t see the point of making everyone wait until Friday.  Then there are the weeks where Friday rolls around, I check the newest submissions, and I find a shot like this one of the ravishing Allison.

Photo credit goes to Glofoto Photography, Shot at Ocean Mystique’s Ink gallery in Virginia Beach.  The artist for her arm is Gabe from Adrenaline Tattoo Club in Tuscon.
