A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • The Icon of Sin

Boy oh boy, would you believe my luck? Baphomet shows up on a sunny Friday afternoon, and me without my BFG 9000. Of all the days to forget it at home…

  • Face Peel Update: The Revengening

As part of our continuing mission to bring you the best in healed and healing scarification pieces, here’s a fancy update to this facial flesh-removal on Reece by Iestyn a little while back. It’s no big surprise coming from Iestyn, but the healing seems to be coming along quite nicely. We’re not sure what else Reece has planned (tattooing over the scars a la Lucky Diamond Rich, for example), but we’re definitely curious to see how his appearance progresses from here on out.

And, of course, after the jump…lion-face.

  • You’ll See My Silhouette

Good morning, ModBloggers! Let’s kick off the week with a smooth, refreshing cigarette. It doesn’t look like Ferdudurke‘s is lit, mind you, but look how much he’s enjoying himself regardless! Cigarettes are just swell, aren’t they?

    (Not really.)

    (Bracing self for inevitable flame-war.)

    (Still a great photo.)

And here we have Cynn, showing off her ever-expanding floral bodysuit. This time around? The throat and face. A couple more shots, after the jump.

  • Human Marvels

Last time we saw The Enigma, he had just gotten some wild skin removal scarification, with John Durante having cut out big X’s around his eyes. He also had a ton of facial piercings covering the lower half of his face. And, well…Durante took care of those, too, apparently. I’m looking very forward to the inevitable commenters who’ll remark that they hope Enigma knows he’s never going to find a job looking like this.

  • Run Into His Arms

Well hey, it’s new (and tattooed) daddy Zach with number-one son, Cash Randall, of whom he seems so proud, he’s just gonna put him up on the mantle for all to see. Seems like as good a place as any.

More shots of father and son, after the jump.

  • One Last Tournament

Tears welled up in her good eye. She’d finally tracked him down. It had taken her years, cost her countless hours and untold dollars. And now? He couldn’t even look at her.

“I never thought I’d see you again,” she whispered.

“I hoped you wouldn’t,” he told her. “I deserve to be alone.”

“It wasn’t your fault,” she said, adjusting her eye patch. “Polo is a dangerous sport. I knew that going in. We all did.” She paused. “We’re getting the team back together for a tournament. One time, big payoff. We want you in.”

He felt a chill go through his body. “Why me?” he asked.

“Because,” she said, “you’re the best.”

“Even if I wanted to, would the club let me back in?”

She pursed her lips into a tight smile. “I think we could pull some strings.”

“I don’t know,” he said. “What if I just don’t have it anymore?”

“John,” she said, “I don’t even need one good eye to know you’ve still got it.”

“One time?” he said, adjusting his tie.

    “One time.”

His eyes narrowed into a steely and determined glare. Muscle memory informed him that his arm could still pull off that legendary swing. The blood in his veins was freezing over into ice water.

“First things first,” he said, “let’s go get my horse out of hock.”

  • Find the Time in My Face

I’m really liking the approach being taken on this facial tattoo by Mike Haines at BioGraphix Tattoo in Syracuse, New York. While I’m personally a fan of heavy black-work, I think the addition of this somewhat unconventional color combination (unconventional in terms of being coupled with black-work, that is) really livens up this project. Definitely looking forward to seeing how this progresses!

  • Meet Them as a Bear

Here’s a nice change of pace from traditional “permanent makeup,” with this leopard-print eye shadow by Jessica at Forbidden Body Art in Portland, Oregon. A close up of the ol’ swollen peeper, after the jump.

  • Fresh and Healed Facial Cuttings

This fresh facial cutting was done by Headrick from Club Tattoo‘s Tempe, Arizona, shop, and as luck would have it, we’ve got a healed shot as well. Check it out after the jump.
