I get a kick out of this shot of Kevin at the NYC tattoo convention wearing a human rib (as in what girls are made of a real human rib) as jewelry for his stretched septum and ear lobes. Or at least that he tells me. I just realized as I’m writing this for all I know I’m being messed with, ha.

Admittedly I’ve only hit APP twice (one EuroCon, and last year in Vegas), but sadly this year I had to choose between two things I needed to do, and to be honest, both involved many old friends, but one involved a whole lot more drinking than the other… As a guy with very little self control, I chose the non-drinking one. Wish I could be in two places at once! Thanks Barry for this quick shot of Pat McCarthy and Phish causing trouble clown-style.
I’m going to try posting some more tomorrow as well, but like I said before, officially I’m on “vacation” (to the extent that I’m ever on vacation) so please don’t get too irritated if I don’t post.

Thanks to my friend B-Boy (who has sent many wonderful things over the years) for sending in these pictures from Thailand’s first (annual?) tattoo convention (see also: Sao Paulo tattoo convention photos). On the whole tattooing is remarkable similar all around the world, but still I always like seeing the subtle differences in style and interpretation in different cultures.

These and more (BME has multiple members in Thailand that were photographing that convention) will be in the next update of BME, which is currently sitting at a massive 5,000+ images. However, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, this server is having mega problems right now. A replacement is set to arrive next week, but I’m afraid something is going to crash before then so we’re working to get stuff moved. I’m very sorry to the people who are patiently waiting for updates, memberships, and so on… We are working on it.

Yeah, ok, so there’s very little mod content in that picture, but it is a tattoo shop at least! I admit I don’t have much in my pinup folder for you today, but I should have more to post (male and female) tomorrow night. Or you can just go browse BME if you’re impatient.
