Nobody Outdoes Argentina?

We’ve moved a long way past the “string someone up on hooks and swing around for a while” stage of body ritual performance. The previous entry has an obviously theatrical show, but when it comes to this sort of thing, I feel that nobody that I’ve seen outdoes the professionalism and artistry of performance teams in South America, especially Argentina — here are some pictures from a show put on by IAM:la negra and friends with the International Theatre Festival Mercosur in Cordoba.
I guess it’s a question of whether you’re there to shock, or whether you’re there to create art and music. I’m not sure that one is better than the other, but I am very happy to see the latter path being explored so well. Oh and there are more pictures from this performance on BME.

Here’s a shot care of IAM:toddy of a Circus Carnis performance in Northbridge. It looks like a great performance, but I have to admit that it did take some flexing of my self control not to draw cartoon word bubbles and radically change the scene.

World Record Piercing?

I could be wrong, but I’d say this piercing has a very good chance of being the oldest person ever pierced. This is by Little Ted in Milton Keynes, England who writes,
“Last year I re-pierced this lady’s ear lobes. You might say that piercing ear lobes is nothing special, and I would normally agree, but this lady had her original piercings done eighty years ago when she was nineteen and she wanted to wear some special earrings at her 100th birthday party. I am hoping to have performed ear lobe piercing with a standard blade on the oldest person that you have had on your site.”
I am nearly 100% sure that not only did Ted work on the oldest piercee on BME, but perhaps in the world? Anyone else reading this ever pierce anyone that’s in the century club?

The benefits of a scrotal tunnel

Perhaps the above entry got you wanting to see a post that’s a little more explicit? I’ll aim to do that here by telling the guys reading this why it’s in their best interests to get a scrotal piercing and stretch it up nice and big so it can fit a tunnel like most people wear in their ears.
So, you’ve got this kind of funny looking tunnel in your nutsack. Doesn’t seem like it’s doing much for you, right? But don’t sell it short. People will think it’s, like, neat-oh! They’ll want to look through it — is it really that big? Does it really go all the way through? And they’ll want to play with it. 
They’ll be thrilled to discover that it actually improves cell phone reception. And with their mouth so close, how can they resist a lick? Yeah, and it’s pretty much just all downhill from there. Or should I say uphill? I don’t know. Whichever you prefer. Trust me. You won’t regret it.

OK, I’m taking the day off tomorrow because my favorite girl in the world is going to be back after too much travelling for my lonesome self, being off to restore the BME servers to life and other adventures — like getting her throat tattooed by Jim Miner, which you might be able to watch live on her moblog later tonight. Not that there’s anything wrong with unusual placements when it comes to surface piercings, but this breast surface piercing did strike me as a little odd. As a point of trivia, this was her first piercing (I think self-done) and is since retired.
