A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • Survivor BME

So… I forgot that Survivor is on today, and yes, I am a “friend of Bill Jeff.” SA, you know… So I’m sorry if today’s posts seem limited or rushed in any way… Today was a long day of branding with Blair so there wasn’t much time to write. Anyway, I’m leaving you with more gorgeous photos of Eva at the Japanese seaside (because it reminds me of Survivor). Members do be sure to visit her gallery (‘Kitano’) in the bonus galleries section of BME/HARD.

And now I’m off to the PVR.

  • Is this man a child molester?

The next tattoo I’m planning is a rather explicit Tom of Finland-style piece on my leg. However, because I have a kid, and do occasionally go out in public, I have to talk to a lawyer about it first… If I show it in public, can I be charged? It’s not like you can walk around in public showing people gay porn. What if my daughter sees it? Could I be charged as a child abuser?

The explicit and I guess blasphemous pinup tattoo on the right was done by Jeff at Permanent Images in Ottawa. The bearer tells me that he’s gotten some grief for it in public, but I was wondering if he could actually be charged as I described above. I don’t see how it’s any different from walking around in public showing people erotica?

  • Heart Brand

Speaking of branding (that’s where I was today), I like this nice simple piece (well healed in this photo) by Muffe Vulnuz of CHBE in Copenhagen. While some of the scar work that’s coming out these days is truly stunning (see the entry below this!) and often quite complex, I think these simple brands are closest to my heart personally. No pun intended!

  • Wayde Dunn = Scalpel King

I just keep getting more and more impressed by the scar work I’m seeing from Wayde at Puncture in Maroochydore, Qld, Australia. It’s really stunning stuff. Check out this Mayan king design he did — in these photos it’s about four months old and keloiding beautifully.

  • And now you know.
