A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

If there is one thing to which we have held fast and true during our tenure here, it has been our unabashed love of bizarre animal tattoos. We can’t explain it. There is no rationale we can provide. These absurd creations just tickle us in a way we can not entirely comprehend, but we are forever grateful to the people who tattoo them, who get them tattooed and who send them in—TwylaSue among them. It was he who submitted this glorious narwhal chestpiece many moons ago, and he has just checked in again (from deep within the confines of an actual mustard bottle, apparently) with some shots of his legs, this one featuring what appears to be some sort of, hmm, jackalope, maybe? It is, at any rate, something that most definitely should not be. After the jump, a five-eyed wolf (in progress) and some other goodies.

Sure, designing some Tool album art may have helped get his name out among folks who may not have normally been exposed to his work, but Alex Grey‘s paintings and drawings have always seemed particularly well suited to tattoo adaptations (we’ve featured a few in the past), and this application of one of his “vajra brush” designs by Alex Jazz at Extreme-Art in St. Petersburg, Russia, is no exception. It is interesting, however, to see his work in black and grey, considering how much he’s often associated with incredibly bright and vibrant colors, but hey, we think this works just fine.

After the jump, we zoom out a touch and see this piece in the context of (most of) the rest of clockorange.

Good morning, ModBloggers! Hey, it’s 3 O’clock. No, really—that’s 3 O’clock up there, showing off just one of the appearance choices made possible when one has big stretched lobes and large-gauge cartilage piercings with which to play. After the jump? We catch a glimpse of this same lobe in its natural habitat.

It’s Tuesday, dear readers, and we’ve still got a ways to go this week. Let’s watch the miles flying by.

And so, continuing today’s impressive streak of highly pleasant young women—a rarity around these parts, we know—here we have Mindi, the pride of Brisbane, sporting, well…a lot of pretty excellent looking work, to be honest, and can count among the contributing artists the eminently talented jOELTRON and Brendan, the latter of whom we’ve noted here a few times lately. This, then? A lovely collision of some of our recent favorites. We love it when a plan comes together.

Well, hellooo! If it isn’t Rebecca, looking most dignified, pinky finger raised ever so daintily in accordance with the standards adhered to by all graduates of the Villa Pierrefeu finishing school. Sure, said finger is being held in place by her 1/2-inch labret piercing, but hey, class is class.
