A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • He calls it his “necklace” tattoo

It’s quite huge and continues all the way around the back. The work is by Joseph at Big O Tattoo in Lincoln, NE. If you’re interested in seeing more, check out Modster‘s page for pictures from other angles.

  • More Milano Suspensions

I just love these photos I’ve been getting out of Italy!

  • Guess his age?

So far I’ve heard guesses ranging from nine to a young-looking sixteen. Personally my guess goes in the fourteen year old range, but I’m terrible at guessing ages. For all I know the dude is forty. Of course, as I mentioned on my personal blog, my meds are a little off right now.

  • The latest? A transdermal chin implant.

Damn, Patrick from Denmark is starting to look pretty intense!

  • Damn Tourists!

IAM:Homeinacoma has about two inch earlobes and went out to Six Flags Over Texas and was then accosted by tourists for cell phone pictures (hey, I know what it’s like). But I suppose it’s as good a way as any to meet chicks!

  • Live Free

I agree. By Dave from Big Kahuna in Boca Raton, FL.

You’ll notice today that I did a lot of posts, like the last time. You’ll also notice that it’s very late as I post this. I’ve been working incredibly long hours on the BME encyclopedia and other projects, and it’s wiping me out. So I think for a little while I may post every two or three days, but make them nice big sets.

I also wanted to apologize for the problems with the comment system… that’s what slows down the front page load, and as you know, it returns no posts (0) instead of the actual number about half the time, which sucks… I need to recode it…

Anyway, if you’re bored, come help with the wiki!

  • Great abstract colour sleeve

I just love this sleeve of abstract Japanese forms (“one arm down, one to go”). The work is by Watson Atkinson at 13 Roses in Atlanta, Georgia. Normally when I post photos here I clean them up, fix the saturation, and so on, but in this case I’m presenting it as is, because I wanted to show just what a cool looking tattoo it is without you wondering whether maybe it was my editing that did it.

  • Rave Party Pull, Australia

Thanks to my friends at Hanged Man, a suspension performance team in Melbourne, Australia (check out the Hanged Man photo gallery on BME), for shooting over this picture from a rave party performance they did a few weeks ago.

  • Red State or Blue State?

Neither, because this is by Billy at Eternal Images in Goole, England. I wanted to point it out as well because it includes one of the most common tattoo mistakes (made by almost all of us unfortunately) — that of a small, pre-existing tattoo interfering with a later, larger piece. Consider that seriously when you’re planning your first tattoo. Are you really so sure you won’t soon want a bigger one?

  • Pierced Drinking Appliance?

Check out this wild surface weave by Crea from S&M Tattoo in Sarasota, Florida, done for the 2006 Tampa TattooFest. I’m not going to tell you that doing a ton of surface piercings and then drinking beer through them is a good idea, but it sure was a funny set of pictures to brighten my day!
