    On the Road Again!

    February snuck up on me and I’m going to assume that Spring will do the same. That’s why it’s time to start planning for the upcoming BMEtv “season”. If you haven’t checked out the videos I’ve been publishing, head over to the BME World Tour video gallery and check out the videos that have been published to date. I’m hoping that now that we’ve been able to edit about 2-3 videos per week, I’ll be able to keep publishing them at the same rate so that I can start filming more interviews and videos.

    While the only videos that have been edited so far are from Australia and New Zealand, I’ve already filmed a ton from Japan. Those will be edited next assuming I can find someone to translate the footage from Japanese to English. Any one who is looking to earn a little extra cash translating for BME, please contact us as soon as possible.

    I’d also love some feedback on who YOU would like to see interviewed from Europe, which is the next leg on the tour. Post in the comments and let us know who your favorite artists are from Europe and who you’d like to see us talk to in the upcoming months. Once we cover a good portion of Europe, I’ll be heading back to the US of A and Canada to start talking to artists and members of the community here. So let me know who your favorite European tattooers, piercers, body modification artists and friends are so we can add them to our list.

  • Vimby Video – Norm AWR MSK

    One of the names that popped up in the interview requests was Norm so it was great timing that his Vimby video just surfaced. I figured I’d post it, like I do with all of Vimby’s Tattooer Videos over here on Modblog to tied you over until BME can do it’s own interview with him. Norm’s script work has to be some of my favorite lettering out there. He’s developed a very beautiful style which gives a whole new meaning to black and grey lettering. He tattooed the palm of my hand a month ago which I’ve included after the jump.

    It’s not the best quality photo since I took it with my iPhone but like I said, his script is really beautiful. There is something elegant yet still jailhouse about it. The “Norm” on his palm and the “LA” on my wrist are both by Jack Rudy of Good Time Charlie’s TattooLand

    Kick ass Videographer Willie T sent me this video the other night. I almost missed it entirely until I was scanning through emails and I saw it. So thanks to Willie for sending over another one of his awesome videos!

    Master Carlitos is a Los Angeles Fire fighter who spends his days putting out the massive infernos that LA is well known for, especially after this summer, and his nights working as a tattoo artist.  You can find him here in LA at Last Laugh Tattoo.

    I’m off to pick up Trevor McStay from Dynamic Tattoo in Richmond, Australia. He’s making a quick trip to lay down some of his artwork on a very grateful and lucky recipient before he heads out to the San Jose Tattoo Convention which I’ll post about shortly!
