Saline Breast Inflation
Written by
Pierre Black from Montreal sends in these shots of a temporary breast enlargement he did using a saline drip. These are pretty safe to do in sterile environments (as this was), but I just wanted to add (since there’s been lots of risks discussion lately) that with saline injections sterile technique is exceedingly important because if you make a mistake and drag the wrong microbes in, you bypass many of the body’s defense mechanisms and give them a very hospitable place to breed.

Another IAM Server Status Update
Written by
OK, first I want to again confirm and emphasize that all of the data on the machine is both backed up and currently undamaged. The server has been pulled out of the cage now to try and figure out what component has gone bad (I honestly have no idea at this point). It’s at the shop now, and I anticipate talking to them at about 4:30 EST at which point I will post another update here. It will surprise me if they get the machine back to me today but they understand it’s a priority and I hope to have it back online tomorrow. Here’s the view that I stared at for most of the morning while I was running various tests:
In a worst case scenario we’ll put together a new machine from scratch tomorrow and transplant the drive array.

IAM Server Status Post
Written by
My number one concern with these (apparently) hardware problems is user data (primarily this means forum data; images are on a different server that’s working perfectly). I’ve confirmed that as safe, and it’s currently creating a fresh backup. Tomorrow morning I’ll be going in and more aggressively testing the components of the machine to try and figure out why it’s shutting down seemingly at random [insert Windows joke here].
Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that other than the extreme annoyance of not being able to access the system, there’s nothing to worry about and I anticipate being back online within 48 hours (if not less).

Koi Cutting

Well, since IAM is all messed up (I’m going down to see what’s up in about two and a half hours — sorry I can’t go sooner — I think that the SATA-II RAID card has failed personally), I figure I ought to post a few entries here for you.
Cutting with skin removal and texturing done over a four hour sitting by Brian of Pure Body Arts in Brooklyn, NY.

I really like this backpiece by Munpie in Antwerp, Belgium. If I’ve misidentified it and it’s Incan or Aztec, someone please correct me by the way.
