So a friend of mine has been slowly separating the head of his penis from the shaft. When he’s got it far enough, it’s coming right off (slow and “safe”). As a point of trivia, when you amputate the glans, erections can become much firmer in many individuals. Oh, and as a secondary point of trivia, Todd Bertrang — who could really use our letters — has done a similar modification, but with the purpose of allowing the glans to move separately from the shaft.

Custom BME Hockey Mask
Written by
I love it when people get BME logos as they were drawn, because it’s such an incredibly flattering compliment to the artist (me or Scott and others), at at the same time, I really love it when people get logos that they’ve modified to suit their own style and ideas.
Anyway, I recently showed you chickadee2084‘s happy sun logo tattoo, which is pretty true to the original, but I also wanted to share her Fiance‘s take on the Team BME hockey logo, by Brandon Montao at Creative Visions in beautiful Monterey, California, where a lot more license has been taken, including adding a third dimension.
(This isn’t done of course).

Clit-knocker Dermal Anchor?
Written by
I like this piece conceptually a lot, but I’m not sure that a dermal achor can take that kind of abuse? I guess we’ll find out, but personally I think a piercing would be how I’d go for this modification… Although if it this works it’s much prettier. Procedure by Didier at Enigma San Diego, CA.

Transdermal and subdermal implants
Written by
OK, I really do have to go to bed (trying to force an early night), but someone was asking me earlier about people with both transdermal implants and subdermal implants in their heads, so let me post Greg’s super cool looking work by Steve Truitt. The material in this case for the subdermals is carved Teflon.

How many times can I post and say wow?
Written by
Pauly Unstoppable (who I’ve featured here before) is now up to 1 1/4″ with his immense stretched nostril piercings (jewelry by tattooedheart). I seriously can’t say enough how much I like the appearance that he’s building up. I think it’s wizardly (like really amazing and not-quite-real at the same time) or something.

Twin Compasses
Written by
You know, I wasn’t going to post today, but I figure I can add a few quickies. Check out vociferation‘s new John Donne tattoo — oh, and it’s a matching tattoo; check her gallery for those pictures…
If they be two, they are two so
As stiff twin compasses are two;
Thy soul, the fixed foot, makes no show
To move, but doth, if th other do.
And though it in the centre sit,
Yet when the other far doth roam,
It leans, and hearkens after it,
And grows erect, as that comes home.
Such wilt thou be to me, who must
Like th other foot, obliquely run;
Thy firmness makes my circle just,
And makes me end, where I begun.

Attaching sunglasses to piercings?
Written by
Wow, I never thought this idea for piercing jewelry-attached eyeglasses patent would actually make it into production (it’s different than the pierced eyeglasses that BME has covered in the past). Barry sent me a link to what appears to be a commercialization of that patent, “ATTITUDE“, a pair of sunglasses that clip onto your eyebrow piercings rather than resting on your ears.
How stupid is commercializing that idea? I’ve got no problem with “experts” (people who understand their bodies) playing with things that don’t always work, but don’t push this stuff on a market that may not know better. I mean, unless the goal of the product is to get eyebrow piercings to reject, I just don’t see it being worth it. And anyone who really is in “the committed depths of Body Modification” (as they claim to be) should know that. It doesn’t matter what release mechanism you build in — even tiny amounts of pressure on an eyebrow piercing can radically speed up rejection.
Yes, you too could be this cool.
PHOTO: DOATTITUDE.COMWell, I suppose there’s a sucker that doesn’t know any better born every minute — after all, think about how many people are perfectly willing to wear low-grade dollar-wholesale (or less) barbells (I’d say 90%+ of the market). Maybe they’ll make lots of money off this, and I’m sure they’ll even be able to find some leather skinned people who can wear them in the long term and post here complaining that rejection is not a risk… but personally I wouldn’t wear these if I cared about keeping my piercings as long as possible.

TOAST Triplets
Written by
No, this is not a breakfast club tattoo or anything like that; it’s an acronym — “To Obtain Anything Start Thinking”. Probably good advice. These are by Lawler at Magic Needle in Humble, TX.
