A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.
  • Dubstep Cures Cancer

Actually, the title might be a bit misleading, I don’t think dubstep actually cures cancer but  a member of our community who has been on modblog several times before, Cory Victorious, is using this popular musical genre as an outreach to help raise funds for  cancer research.

Anytime a member of our little community goes out of their way to help society outside of our little community it reflects well upon all of us and gives our collective group some much needed positive publicity. So, take a moment to appreciate all of the hard work Cory’s put into this project and if it’s something your into, please contribute. If not, look at it as inspiration to come up with your own projects to help the world out a bit.  Here’s the info on this group and what they do:

DubstepCuresCancer is a non-profit started by Cory Schneider and Matthew Quinones in South Florida. Based around the EDM genre ‘dubstep’, known for its hard hitting basslines and crazy wobbles. What started as a youtube channel to feature dubstep songs has now expanded to an inventory of glow in the dark silicone bracelets, T-shirts and girls boy shorts. Half of the profit will be donated to cancer research foundations (with the other half being re-invested in the company to expand inventory) The first of which is “The Breast Cancer Research Foundation”, chosen for its high percentage of direct funds to research. We have booked merchant booths at many local events and has applied to be vendors at events such as Electric Daisy Carnival and Starscape festival. Even for people who don’t know what dubstep is, it is a cause that touches all and is one of the first of its kind in EDM music. Check us out on our facebook (www.facebook.com/dubstepcurescancer) and big cartel site (only the t-shirt link is active at the moment). We hope to expand to a website with store features, and sections including interviews with dubstep dj’s who are involved in charities, pretty soon.

  • An elephant, a squid, a whale and a hippo walk into a bar…

I’m sure there’s a joke in there somewhere, but it certainly isn’t this tattoo.

  • BME Bond Girl

Leah Jean Jett even has a name that could pass as a Bond girl.  In addition to her gun, she’s pretty proficient with a needle.  In fact she did that hand corset on herself.

  • Faith, Love, Hope

A classical take on the three Christian virtues.  The cross for faith, the heart for love, and the anchor for hope.  Sent in by greg59250.

  • The Secret Handshake

It’s been a couple weeks since the 2011 Dallas SusCon, and the photos are starting to trickle in.  Mark from Naked Lens Photography was on hand all weekend documenting every suspension.  But before any of the suspensions started a small business matter needed to be conducted.  Allen and the owner of the building needed to perform the secret handshake for the event to get under way.

What is the secret handshake you ask?

You might recognize the man with the massive transscrotal as Andrew from Swing Shift Side Show.  Later in the week he would go on to do the incredible facial suspension.

I know someone told me the exact size of his transscrotal on the weekend, but I can’t seem to recall it right now, so lets just leave it as, it’s freaking huge.

  • On broken wings

Don’t let the glare from the flash distract you from this autumn themed chest piece sent in by ChorusOfAngels.

  • The Lion King

We’re going to start the day off with a request.  Brian, I want a follow up picture of this scar.

You see, the reason I’m calling Brian out is because of his comments about this scar.  See that scar just to the bottom left of the cutting.  That’s from a case of chicken pox.  Given how the owner of the lion scars up, the end result of this could be incredible.

  • You must cross the river in order to continue

    You may:

    1. attempt to ford the river

    2. caulk the wagon and float it across

    3. take a ferry across

    4. wait to see if conditions improve

    5. throw some hooks and zipline across

    What is your choice?

Leave it up to Arseniy to pick option 5.

Of course he had the help of the #Leeds Suspension team from St. Petersburg, Russia to help him out.
