I’m in a good mood today, and part of the reason is that I get to post this photo of the stunning Shandi. In fact, I’m in such a good mood, the rest of today (up until the news post) will be all BME Boys and Girls! Happy Friday everyone!
The Baroque inspired frame was done with the intention of leaving it blank, to be filled in with temporary pieces as time goes on. Pictionary anyone?
The artist Shandi went to for this piece was Lou Jacque from Transcend Tattoo in Connecticut.

Today’s follow up is a little on the religious side. To start with we’ve got a scar from Gabor Zagyvai who is well known for his minimalist style when it comes to both scarification and tattooing.
To see how it healed up, keep on reading.
I know you may be thinking that the picture is blurred, as I thought it was at first. The scar just ended up healing in a way that made the image softer, making it appear hazy. It’s a nice effect that goes well with the subject matter.

Got plans for July 2nd-4th? Nope? Well you do now! It’s BMEFest and it’s back with a vengeance. The boss lady is opening her doors and inviting everyone to come on down for the weekend. Here are some of the highlights:
BMEtv will also be set up interviewing people, so if you’re interested, just let Rachel know in the event forum.
This is a chance to get to see some friends you may not have seen in a while, as well as a chance to make new ones. If there’s one thing that’s consistent with every BME event, is that after a few minutes, everyone is like family. Well, the kind of family that you party your face off for a weekend with.
What are you waiting for, sign up for the event right here. (NOTE: Newer versions of browsers tend to have problems with the signup page. People have found Safari and IE to work when their browser doesn’t.)
Oh, and those BME Logo tattoos? They belong to IAM: Klages.

Something a little simple for today’s guess what. Well, simple in that it’s a single piercing. Beyond that, well, that’s up to you to guess.
For those wondering, yes that is blood, as this was taken right after the piercing was done.
So, what do you think it is?
It’s an anal piercing! Londonlad123 is the owner of this particular bottom and he was kind enough to send in photos of the entire procedure.
You can see the rest of the shots in the anal piercing gallery.

Roger from Star City Tattoo in Roanoke, VA has been featured quite a bit lately. And for good reason. He’s continually sending in photos of great work. Although out of all the tattoos he’s submitted, this one has to be my favorite.
The anatomically correct heart, the directional blood flow, the tree being struck by lightning, it all works brilliantly together. I also like how the lower half of the heart is done with a strong outline, yet the top half isn’t, giving the top an organic feel, while the bottom resembles a glass jar.

I will never doubt this woman’s commitment to sparkle motion ever again. I know some pretty intense Hello Kitty fans, but to get that many microdermals in the shape of said kitty is beyond what any of them would do. This is fandom. Take note, she also has Hello Kitty plugs, and those cheek piercings are pretty cute too.
Bart Bastiaanse from Tribal Trading Tilburg in The Netherlands painstaking crafted this portrait out of 75 individual microdermals. My count may be wrong, so if your eyesight is better than mine, go ahead and count them. Bart uploaded a few pictures of this project, including some of him in action. They’re located in the Tribal Trading Portfolio Gallery.

He was taken from us too soon. RIP Dimebag.
As you can see by the watermark, this scarification/tattoo combination piece was done by Anders. You can see more of his work in his BME Portfolio Gallery.

It seems that Mr. Borneoscorpion2008 has managed to transform his cock into a massive thunderbird. On top of that, he’s had his legs and groin tattooed to fit in with the theme of his bird, and the result is striking.
To see the rest of the tail, you’ll have to keep on reading.
Thunderbirds are definitely go here. The split head, combined with the ampallang and the hafada really make the “tail” a force to be reckoned with.
Not sure which artist gets credit for what, but he lists the artists as, Hannes & Yvonne from Blut & Eisen in Berlin, and Roland & Ralf from Visavajara in Freiburg.

Forgive the confusing title. I’m currently nursing my addled brain back to competency after staring at this Vincent Hocquet piece for the past hour.
I sense a trip to Beautiful Freak Tattoo in Belgium in my future.
