A tattooed person suspends from hooks, laying flat, one leg higher than the other. Their head is back, and they seem to be smiling, dark hair dangling like an anime character.

  • Patchwork Flower

I like the colors and patterns in this simple flower tattoo, done by Anderson at Outlaws Tattoo in Petropolis, RJ, Brasil — especially the white flowers on red background, and the yellow/orange stripes, both without outline.

Anyway, I’m pretty tired, and have been working on a major and much-needed revamp of BME’s tattoo galleries that I hope to be able to post early this week, so if I don’t post much here this weekend, it’s because I’m focusing on that.

  • Genital Implant CAT Scan

I’ve seen loads of x-rays of mods before, but I think maybe this is the first CAT scan? These are Albert‘s DIY genital beads.

  • Mr. Urethra, meet Mr. Anus

This cut on a Japanese BME contributor is the deepest subincision I’ve ever seen I think, as it’s beginning to extend past the point where the urethra turns up and toward the bladder. A full photo is after the break, and the next update, which I expect I’ll post on Monday, there are lots more shots as procedural pictures as well.

PS. Since I was asked last time, for those of you who want a great introduction to the “why” question, this interview with “J” is a good start (pardon the mid-90s era HTML).

  • Minimalist Tattoo Project

On a technical level, Lincoln’s tattoo was assisted by Laci at Tattoo Tradition in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I like what he’s doing a lot, both on a conceptual art level, and on a visual art level.
