As a point of trivia, the text (the sort of dot-matrix effect) was her first tattoo, and then Heidi Hay added the band caricatures later. I’m assuming that’s album art or something along those lines, but I definitely think this is better than most band tattoos I get (or maybe I’m just a sucker for cartoons).

…when you go to have blood taken, and they can’t find your vein so they just keep poking you over and over? And then the dumb nurse cracks some offensive joke like “you have so many piercings, you must like pain — I bet you’re enjoying this”.

This tattoo is by Mike Haines at Scarab Body Arts in Syracuse, and is one of the nicer “Semper Fi” themed tattoos I’ve received. He also has a mini-portfolio on BME that you can check out.

I think IAM:48×16 (good numbers: username improved from the original) has a great chestpiece (or at least a hilarious one, and I figure that’s a good thing). It’s designed and executed by Nate Hough of House of Poncho’s in Edgewood, Maine, and he implores you, “Do not take my design!”
