A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.
  • Buddy Tattoos

Kels says, “you rock”, and Sourlikewhoa says, “you rule”! The tattoos were done for them by Jimmy at My Tattoo Shop (appropriately, “the home of the 2-for-1 tattoos”) in Hollywood, Florida.

Along the same lines, these “Sweet” and “Dude” Dude, Where’s My Car inspired buddy tattoos done by Jay Jay at Canvas Tattoo in Prior Lake, NM…

  • Well Healed Hand Web Piercing

An old customer of Justin Sanchez’s — Miss Kat — came in to visit him at Ink Bomb Tattoo in Seattle, when she showed him her old hand web piercing. It’s completely healed and very solid — she’s had it now for over seven years. It’s one of my favorite piercings as well and seeing this example makes me want to go get it again…

  • Surprisingly Enigmatic Looking Tattoo

Jonny and his bandmates had traveled from the UK to Chicago to record their debut album, after putting in a ton of work into getting a record and publishing deal, a good manager, and writing songs and touring them. On the third of March, the album was finished, which he describes as “the best five weeks of my life”. To record this landmark moment in his life and to remember all the people he met in Chicago, he got his first tattoo — the date of completion, and the Chicago flag. The tattoo was done by Josh Howard at The Chicago Tattoo and Piercing Company.

  • Stuck Septum

So, Evan swears that his septum (initially pierced by Silentwes at Electric Chair in Riverside, CA, and then self-stretched) is quite loose at 3/4″, but the first thing I thought when he sent me this photo of his wearing a large ear weight through it was that there was a good chance that the shape of the plug guaranteed it would be stuck there, and he’d be left cutting toward his face with a hacksaw! Luckily, no such misfortune befell him.

  • Stitched Arm

Zae Dolly has begun working on a patchwork themed tattoo on her arm, by David Frazee at T-Cats in Flint, Michigan. She says it will be the foundation of a symbolic piece representing her life journey. She plans on mixing in smaller “random” tattoos onto the patches that will fill out the story of her life in detail.

  • Hard Palate Tattoo

I could have sworn I posted this before, but I couldn’t find it in my searches. I think that Gnomoweb has probably the only palate tattoo that I’ve ever seen with this sort of sketchy star… I don’t see any reason why — other than coordinating it — it’s so unheard of, but it is. His was done by Franca at Tattoo Way in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

  • Elaine Davidson Update

For those that didn’t see it on his page, Everything and Nothing sent in a few more photos of Elaine Davidson (previously) that he took back in ’98 at a Scottish tattoo convention. There is a genital closeup photo after the break.

  • Magnetic Implant Ultrasound

Morbus sent in a couple photos from an ultrasound of a week old magnetic implant that Roland from Visavajara put into his finger. The implant is circled in red, and you can see in the left photo where it’s positioned in relation to the joint.

  • White Ink Healing Problems

Spookshow-baby-79 has been having some unusual problems with her white ink tattoos. They’re now a full nine months old, and are still not settled… You can see two more close-ups after the break and you can see that it goes through phases of “crocodile skin” and being covered in tiny blackheads which open up and bleed. Not fun, and I expect medical intervention will be required — when a tattoo doesn’t settle down after that long, it quite likely never will.

If anyone has any useful advice or experience, please do post it.
