A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.
  • Nekromantik Tribute Tattoo

When I was in high school (I think I graduated in ’91 to put it into context… I’m getting old!), these were my favorite movies:

    • Pump Up The Volume
    • Suburbia (1984)
    • Heathers
    • Harold and Maude
    • Nekromantik
    • Der Todesking

On account of the last two, I was quite pleased to see this tribute to Nekromantik by Bud at Evil or Sacred Tattoo in Los Angeles. I know that only a few people will probably appreciate this piece because the movie is somewhat obscure… The wearer tells me they’re planning a second Nekromantik-themed tattoo soon as well.

  • Rin and Carmina

A couple more beautiful portraits by iam:DearLover (LavonneImages.com)… First is Rin at Wreck beach, and after the break is Carmina. Visit her pages for more!

  • Tattooed Branding

Tony Powers, one of the few tattoo artists also doing scarification, did this tattoo over a strike branding… Because of the very traditional design I imagine it makes an interesting impact because at first people write it off as “boring” but then all of a sudden realize they’re looking at something “more”.

  • “I’m not sick, honest”

After the break you can see another photo of Gnomoweb‘s striking facial tattoos, but more interestingly, there’s also a relatively “before” photo that’s strikingly “innocent” looking. See, this is what happens when you don’t take your pills… Moral of the story? Don’t take your pills!

  • Nala’s Piercings

Nala has an interesting genital piercing, which you can see after the break and at full resolution on BME. All of her piercings are DIY and in 12ga, and of the genital work she explains, “my genital piercings pass through my labium majora and converge into my vagina,” so they’re sort of high/deep outer labia piercings.

  • What is it with unicorns?

So way back in the early days of ModBlog I posted the unicorn with a hard-on. Then I posted the so-called “white power” unicorn, and then the unicorn shitting a rainbow. Jake saw this and wrote in,

“I figured I’d send this one along your way. I had this created for the logo of my band Children of the Unicorn and it was so fucking fly that I needed to get it on my arm, and then this shot ended up as our album cover… funny how it works sometimes. Enjoy!”

  • Homer Simpson Escapes

When Madelyn‘s best friend moved to Florida, they had her boyfriend James Buey do matching tattoos on them. Because they used to sit around quoting Homer Simpson, that’s what she decided to get — I’m posting it because I like the take on the old “[insert tattoo cliche here] ripping out of the skin” theme, with Homer eating his way out of her leg.

  • Heart Implant Procedure

For those who come here to see someone get their face cut up, here’s a silicone heart being implanted into a cheek — the incision, which you can see after the break, seems quite large. Hopefully I’ll follow this up with a healed shot later.
