A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.
  • Don’t cry over broken eggs.

She can use my eggs any time. Apparently she just borrowed some from Greg Lodato from Beacon, NY while he was shooting these photos. Two floral tattoos in a row.. my bad.

  • Lisa Lobe?

Is that you? No, it’s 441am with tattoos by Tiffany from Planet Ink in Ottawa, Ontario and she is absolutely adorable.

  • Clickthroughs?

So this isn’t a particularly challenging or technically difficult scarification other than it’s a pretty even circle but I wanted to post it so I had some subject matter to compare it with. Over the past few weeks we’ve all been discussing click throughs and I wanted to know if you guys felt that it only needed to apply to penis photos. Click through and then let me know.

  • Kiss me kill me

Alex did a Marylin Monroe surface weaving. This is definitely different than your standard play piercing session. Arawak from Saintes, France did the weaving though there wasn’t much info on the “why?”, not that we need a reason, it’s just nice to have sometimes. Check the galleries for more photos of the weaving.

  • Making waves

Our final international post of the day comes from Mistertom. They’re doing implants underneath the black tattoos if it wasn’t obvious. I’m going to try to post some photos of two tattooed folk hanging out in Hawai’i if I can get the internet to let me upload more photos. Thanks for the underwater camera photo tips from all you camera pros out there. I appareciate it!

PS. This photo was sent in from Japan. My goal to have all international posts for today is going pretty well!

  • Ask and ye shall receive

I got a couple of requests for more shots of Ian’s facial tattoos so I figured I’d toss up another photo of his lovely mug. He’s also got a few microdermals.

  • International big septum competition

Modblog must be having an international post day. First we had Henning from Denmark, then Nati from Costa Rica and now it’s Andre from Sweden who must be trying to compete with Babasom. Hopefully I can round out the rest of the day with more international submissions.

  • Nati likes snakes

From Nati’s short and sweet email I can garner a couple things. She likes robots, snakes, dimples and has an awesome barette collection. The only thing I’m not sure about is if she likes long walks on the beach. The tattoos are by Luis Bonilla and Alejandro Cole from Statttoos in San Pedro, San Jose which according to google is in Costa Rica. One of my favorite things about BME is the international reach that has been developed because of the internet. It’s amazing how beautiful and multi national our culture is. Hopefully it keeps growing and growing.

Don’t forget to check out the video posted earlier this morning. Another shot of the beautiful Nati after the jump!

  • BMEtv – Henning Jørgensen

I was really excited to post this interview with Henning Jørgensen not only because he’s an amazing tattoo artist and all around nice guy but because it’s a great in depth interview which is the direction we’re working to. Considering this is our third video to date, I’m pretty proud of the direction that it’s heading.
As soon as I can get some more videographers on board to help out, we’ll be able to get a lot more videos put together and posted. If you’re interested in interviewing your local or favorite tattooer, let me know. You can always film them (along with background footage  ie “b-roll”) and send the raw video for me to edit and post.
