A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.
  • Ghostly Geisha

This interesting little piece was sent in by Joey Pang of Tattoo Temple in Hong Kong.  It’s no secret how much I love her work, and this piece is just another example of how awesome she is.

You can check out the full sized version of this photo in the oriental style tattoo gallery.

  • Taking a break

When it’s a nice summer day in Cape Town, South Africa, don’t be surprised if you stumble across PrettyHateMachine out on her lunch break in a cupcake shop.

That oriental style tattoo on her shoulder was done by Garth Staunton from Wildfire, also from Cape Town.

  • Foxy Lady

While this fox is still in progress, it is still a damn fine looking piece.

Jakub Nadrowski from Forsaken Ink in Bloomingburg, NY sent in this tattoo that is 6 hours along.  As you’ve probably guessed by now, it can be found in the nature and wildlife gallery.

  • BMEtv – Shane Gallagher

This week on BMEtv we’re going to be meeting a couple of artists from Chapel Tattoo in Melbourne, Australia.

Shane Gallagher is the second of this week’s interviews, and he discusses traditional Polynesian tattooing, and his experiences with it.

To check out the video, just keep on reading.

If you’ve missed any of the videos so far, you can check them out in the BME World Tour Video Gallery

  • Waiting for the end

When the end comes, this Philadelphia native will be prepared.  Thanks to Joey Knuckles at Olde City Tattoos in Philadelphia, he’ll have eyes in the back of his head watching the bombs as they drop.

This piece was sent in to the face and neck tattoo gallery.

  • One of a kind

Branko, from Body Gallery in Slovakia sent in this set of photos from what he’s calling the first subdermal implant done in Slovakia.

You can check out the rest of the procedure, as well as all of those who helped along the way in the implant gallery.

  • It’s not unusual…

The artist formerly known as IAM:omglolzroflmao has packed up his bags and moved to the cold northern wilds of Edmonton, Alberta.  But just because he’s in the cold, doesn’t mean he doesn’t heat up the town when he goes out.

See, no matter where Chris goes, the party is sure to follow.  That dashing young man on the left happens to be the one and only Alfonso Ribiero, star of Silver Spoons, and some show about a rapper.  I’ll let you guys and gals decide which one of them is the BMEBoy.

Oh, and I would be remiss not to point out Chris’ black arm in progress, as well as his BME Calm logo tattoo on his neck.

  • On display

The newest member of the IAM family, EG_217, sent in some photos of her suicide suspension facilitated by Brian Wood.  I like that this was taken in a storefront of some kind, giving her the look of being on display.

  • It’s all about the eyes

If you think the cosmetic tattoos out there are pretty boring, wait until you get a load of this.

While I don’t have any information on the artist responsible, you can still get a great look at these elaborate eye tattoos in the facial tattooing gallery.  The design covers both eyes, as well as extending back onto the ears.

  • The all-seeing eye

Vincent Hocquet from Beautiful Freak Tattoo in St. Idesbald in Belgium always manages to create stunning images.  This week is no different with this dotwork sleeve he sent in.

You can check out more of Vincent’s work in his BME portfolio gallery.
