A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.
  • BMEtv – Brian Graydon

Today’s BMEtv interview is with Brian Graydon from Korpus Tattoo in Melbourne.  Brian is a former nurse who turned to tattooing when he discovered a passion for it.  He talks about getting his start in tattooing, and how he eventually branched out on his own so he could have complete creative control over his work and working environment.

To check out the video, you’ll have to keep on reading.

If you’ve missed any of the videos so far, you can check out the rest of them in the BME World Tour Video Gallery

  • The Friday Follow-up

Today’s follow-up is a scar by my favorite frenchman, Efix. About 4 months ago he did a guest spot at Exotix in Toronto and did this anchor scar on Jessica2n2.

And here’s how it looks today.

As you can see it’s still a little uneven, with some lines being raised up more than the others.  Over time these lines should even out, although being on the ribs there is a lot of movement there so it’s hard to say for certain.

  • Getting a knee up

Straight from Brazil comes this shot of Chubby Vegan doing a 3pt single knee suspension.  The suspension was facilitated by Diablos Mutantes Suspension and was one of many suspensions held that day.  Check out the team gallery for more shots.

  • Guess What?

You know how this works.  I show you a very cropped image of something, you guess what it is, then read on to see if your guess was right.  9 times out of 10 you’ll guess genitals (male or female) but I’m not going to accept that as a guess.  You’ve got to be more specific than that.  With that said, what do you think this piercing is?

Alright, once you’ve made your guess, read on to see if you’re right.

Of course it’s genitals.  But how many of you guessed that it was a scrotal hole?  According to the description it’s actually a labret stud combined with a CBR and it was all DIY.

  • Bright Lights, Big City

Given how the bold sun contrasts against the almost minimalistic city, this original piece by Joey Pang is a great example of how skilled she is with a needle.

  • Prelude to the Fall

The first time I had the chance to see a Go-Pro camera was at BMEFest this summer.  This little compact camera seemed indestructible.  It’s no wonder that “extreme” sports enthusiasts are embracing cameras like it to record their antics.  Chad is one such rider.  He was visiting his friend Jackie Rabbit at Star City Tattoo in Roanoke, VA to show off his latest video.  While they were watching it he had the urge to get a biking related tattoo.  Jackie sprung into action.  She quickly rewound the tape to the moment right before Chad took a header into a ditch.  From that still came this, a sports tattoo that captures the moment perfectly.

  • The Joy of Scarification

Jesse Villarreal says that this is a symbol for joy/happiness, and since I’ve never seen it before, I’m going to take his word on it.

Jesse works out of Main Street Tattoo and Body Piercing in Merced, Ca.

  • She’s a Dutty BMEGirl

Her words, not mine.  I think it has to do with the fact that she’s a smoker.

You’ll have to keep reading to see the uncensored version of Moy13moy.

  • The Hip to Heart Ratio

A while back I featured a number of microdermal projects that were coming out of Europe.  The idea is to create large designs using microdermals over the course of 1-2 sittings.  Will Luterzo from Pleasurable Piercings in Hawthorne, NJ has started to do similar projects and here’s one of his creations.

Its tricky to see in the photo, but the 2 hearts have different colored gemstones, white for the large heart and pink for the smaller one.

  • Pointed stems

Miss Cale has once again broken her personal play piercing record with this 122 point heart design she did on her own legs.  Prior to this, her highest attempt was 84, so this is a big step forward for her.
