Here’s a great photo from photographer Paul Jobes, with piercings by the Skin Seamstress herself, Zombieprincess. It looks like she threaded the end of the feathers into the ends of the play piercing needles, giving the model, Raeven Irata, the look of a fallen angel with broken wings.

The #Leeds Airlines team from St. Petersburg, Russia is best known for their theatrics. Almost all of their suspensions are part of a photoshoot or performance piece, and this one is no different. This crucifix suspension was part of a performance with Prelyudia Evi, which I’m guessing is the name of the band that you can see in some of the photos.
There’s more to see, so keep on reading.
You can see the rest of the photos in their full size in the #Leeds Airlines gallery.

No cephalopods today, just a really colourful interpretation of a jellyfish by Michael Kozlenko from Kipod Tattoo in Tel Aviv.

I would have featured this Friday as a follow-up piece, however I couldn’t find any fresh photos of the text portion of the scar. Given how dark and raised the text is, I’m going to assume the star is also going to turn out similar. Even if you’re not a fan of Slipknot, you can still appreciate the scar.

Bradde is one wild and crazy guy. Sure these photos were taken on Halloween, but this is how he normally dresses.
And here’s a closer look at those hooks in his nipples.
This was all part of Mercury Suspension Team‘s Halloween show.

We’re doing it again!! BME NYE 2012!!

Back by popular demand is the BME New Year’s Eve Party!!! As the weeks progress I’ll be able to share more and more information, but for now, here’s the stuff you need to know..
When: New Year’s Eve
Where: BME HQ – Located close to King’s Dominion in Virginia (Outside Richmond)
Now, for those of you making the drive down here’s some things to know. Camping is allowed on the property, however keep in mind it’ll be December 31st so bring a warm sleeping bag. For those not interested in camping, simply look up any of the hotels near King’s Dominion and make a reservation. Like other BME Events at BME HQ some food will be provided, although it will just be the basics, burgers, dogs, and soda. If you want/need anything specific, feel free to bring it with you, and if you want, bring extra to share.
I’ll have more to share as the planning goes into full effect, but for now here’s a short video from last year’s party.
Please note: Jumping into, through, or around the fire is strictly prohibited. Which means I will NOT be doing a repeat of last year’s incident.
We’re looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, as well as any new ones, so mark off your calendar and make your reservations today!

That which we call a scar, by any other name would bleed so neat

This interesting take on a rose was done by Anders Allinger from Flesh Impressions, located in Broadbeach, Queensland on Australia’s Gold Coast. I say interesting because of how he chose to do the thorny vines on the bottom. Instead of the traditional stem, he opted for an almost tentacle-esque aesthetic.

It was those words of wisdom that guided Benolyn to dress up and suspend as Nyan Cat for Halloween.
The pink rigging plate is a nice touch courtesy the Mercury Suspension Team.

An X, an O, and a line of dots signify the presence of Bruno BMA, co-founder of Ghirigori Family Body Adornment Studios located in Oggiono, Italy. Going by the scars on the incision points it appears these implants have been in for a while, and they’re looking good. Heck, the incision point on the chest looks like it’s part of the implant, which may not have been intentional, but it works well with it.
