A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.
  • “I know kung-fu”

Follow the white rabbit.  Take the red pill.  There is no spoon.

Take your pick of any of the many memorable quotes from The Matrix and apply it to this tattoo by Seven O’Brien.

Thanks to IAM:Rachie Tartz for sending this in.

  • Subtle Love

Sometimes implants can be extremely noticeable, like horns or the back of the hand.  Then there are implants like this, that blend in so well, you’d only know it was there if you were looking for it.

Implant by Eric Sara from LMT Body Modification in Sabadell, Spain.

  • Book Head

This piece is an homage to the David Stoupakis painting “Book Head”.  According to Jackie Rabbit, the choice of books is “a tribute to science and the struggle of reason over ignorance.”  My only complaint is that he doesn’t have a Neil deGrasse Tyson book in the stack.

  • Law and Order: BME

As some of you may recall, the Law and Order: SVU production office reached out to BME to find some people for an upcoming episode.  Well, it turns out that quite a number of IAM members made the cut and will be featured on this week’s episode.  You can check out the show tomorrow night (Wednesday, May 16th, on NBC at 10pm EST).  One IAM member that you’ll definitely be seeing is none other than Rachie Tartz, who was nice enough to send in some photos to the BME Girls gallery.

Keep on reading if you want to see the photos that won’t be airing on network television.

  • Look up

Look waaaay up.  You’re now reading this in the Friendly Giant’s voice.  Of course, that’s not the Friendly Giant up there, that’s IAM:elad, enjoying a suicide suspension with some friends.

  • Scarred to the bone

Give Richard ‘Effin’ Ivey a knife and 2 hours, and you’ll walk away with something like this.

  • Portrait in blue

Here’s a little something for the abstract lovers out there via IAM: Balthazar.  This piece comes from Copenhagen InkFest and was done by Jacob Pederson from Crooked Moon.

  • Narasimha

When it comes to using religious iconography in a scar, you can always count on Richard Ivey.

  • I choose you!

I’m thinking the number of beers before this guy uses that as a pickup line is around two.  This was uploaded by Joeltron, but the watermarking indicates that it was probably Howie that did this tattoo.  In any case, someone at First Blood in Sydney gave this happy guy the pokeball he wanted, and gave us a new addition to the geek tattoo gallery.

  • Do No Harm

This is about the point where people who know their symbols speak up at how the Caduceus is commonly used as a symbol of medicine, even though it’s actually the symbol for Hermes, the god of messengers, travelers, thieves and liars.  Now the Rod of Asclepius is the staff held by Asclepius who was a Greek god of medicine.  Of course, all of this is moot as regardless of the meaning of the symbol, this person liked the Caduceus enough to have xRonix create a massive scar on his back.

When looking at the second photo, keep in mind his elbows are bent, which is causing the distortion, as you can see in the top photo, the wings are even.
