I got flack last month for occasionally calling Movember, Novembeard. Well. this month there is no question, it’s all about the beards. And to kick us off is a fantastic beard with an awesome scar by Richard “Effin” Ivey.
I can only imagine what that’s going to be like to heal as all that hair grows back.

Feels like the very first time!
Sorry, I have that song stuck in my head now so I thought I would share my pain. Speaking of sharing, the First Blood crew is sharing the photos from their Hooks ‘n Hearts event from a few weeks back. We’ve already seen the winner of the “nakedest” suspension, so here’s the winner of the “Best First Time” suspension. I don’t know what the qualifications for getting the award were, but she does look like she’s having a great time, and that’s good enough for me.
First Blood is located in Sydney, Australia.

Because Nexizydrate is!
Seeing her dressed like that puts me in a giving mood, so keep reading for a couple more pictures of her.
Keep an eye on the BMEGirls gallery as I’m sure there will be a lot more festive photos added over the next month.

Not many people know that Richard “Effin” Ivey is straightedge. It’s true. As a minister for The Church of Body Modification, he’s taken a vow of purity. What’s really interesting is that the church doesn’t require a vow, and most people were puzzled when he took his. When asked about it Richard just looks down and says “I thought I was swearing to only use a straightedge blade when I shave my head”.

Movember is almost over. However there is still time to squeeze in a few more mustache photos. SirPerrald recently celebrated his 23rd birthday with hooks, cake, and a killer ‘stache.

Today’s Guess What? is an interesting one. Or is it? Is it a surface piercing, or something completely different? Only one way to know, make a guess and read ahead to see if you’re right.
Think you know? Take a guess and read on…
Alright so after a trip through the BMEWiki I couldn’t find mention of this piercing anywhere, so unless someone else has named it prior to this, I’ll refer to this as a “Sandra” piercing. Here’s what Martin Lysdah from Gorlubb Piercing in Copenhagen has to say about this particular piercing.
This is a surface piercing placed between the buttocks above the anus. This placement was chosen by the client, Sandra, because she had a hole where her foetal tail had been. Normally this hole closes up completely, but not on her, so she wanted to have it pierced. I agreed to do it after warning her about the dangers of being pierced near the anus. The reason why the gemstone tilts to the left is because her tailbone extends further down towards her anus than on other people. It pushes the bar underneath the surface to the right. I chose the name this piercing after her, Sandra.
So, it’s a surface piercing, but it also passes through a hole left behind from the vestigial tail she had while an embryo. Given how rare that factor is, I can’t see too many people having this particular piercing.
