A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Back to Black

I love you much
It’s not enough
You love blow and I love puff
And life is like a pipe
And I’m a tiny penny rolling up the walls inside

We only said goodbye with words
I died a hundred times
You go back to her
And I go back to black

-Amy Winehouse – “Back to Black”

It was only a matter of time before an Amy Winehouse tattoo appeared here after she passed away a few months ago.  I can’t say I’ve heard this particular song but whoever those legs belong to must have been a fan.

This tattoo is by Lou Shaw from Murray Bridge Tattoo and Body Piercing in Murray Bridge, South Australia.

For my personal aesthetics they’d look better if the sentences weren’t cut in such a way the tattoos only work together, but i love the song 🙂

I’m not really an Amy Winehouse fan but I really like these tattoos and their placement.

I love the script style, love the quote, love the placement… but somehow the script style + arrangement doesn’t work for me in this context. Too difficult to read.

I personally wouldn’t want people staring at my under-butt for a long time trying to read something. Also I can’t read what it says. When she’s 75, this is gonna be a mess. Sooner than that if she ever gets cellulite there.

I can’t read it, been wondering what it says since it was first posted and just keep forgetting to look on a computer screen rather than my smart phone.

This is my tattoo and it wasn’t drawn up to completley legible, as I have no intrest in the rest of the world knowing what it says. I simply got it because I love the song and the look of it.
