A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Rest In Peace: Melissa Knowles

I’m very sad to have to post that Melissa passed away. If you ever posted about having a rough time on your IAM page then chances are pretty good that Melissa sent you a message to make sure you were okay. Not only is she Jeff‘s mom but she took that role pretty seriously. She was always around to give advice, an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on to anyone and everyone who needed it.

It’s true, she saw a post that I was going through a rough time a couple of years ago, and just messaged me with “smile, it’ll get better”. RIP Melissa

I never knew of this woman, but just looking at her picture and seeing her smile makes me sad knowing that she’s no longer with us. She sounds like the kind of person the mod community (and the world) could use more of.

May she R.I.P. I didn’t know her, but it’s sad to hear of the unfortunate loss of anyone.
