A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Minimal cat is minimal

Art comes in many forms, and while some people love lavish and detailed works, others prefer a more minimalistic approach.   Gábor Zagyvai from Budapest is one artist that excels in minimalistic tattoos.

Of course that’s not all Gabor can do, as a quick look back into the ModBlog archives shows his abilities with complex pieces of art in both tattoos and scarification.  Head on over to the nature and wildlife galleries to check out a couple more minimalist pieces that he has done recently.

The red and blue lines remind me of old-school 3D glasses. Does anything happen if you look at this tattoo while wearing them?

I love this. I hear all the time that my tattoo is too simple or plain and that I need to add more to it. They don’t get that I want it to be simple.

actually he can’t draw, that’s why he made only minimalistic and “abstract misticist” (sic!) works. i’d like to see some realistic or any kind of “classic” tattoo from Gabor. i guess i will never…
    anyway, he’s a cool guy.

  • Suspended, Not Silenced
There’s something undeniably powerful about watching someone working through the stages of suspension. For some, suspension is not about pushing physical limits its… Read more: Suspended, Not Silenced

Some stories take their time, unfolding over decades, through life’s long detours and diversions. But dreams never rest until they’re fully realized. Even after 15 years, Robb knew there was still a suspension experience waiting for him. Something left unfinished, something essential. At the Ontario… Read more: A Nightbird’s Passage
  • What Lifts the Body, Shifts the Soul
First suspensions are rarely just about the body—they’re a meeting point between the physical and the deeply personal. Stepping into this experience isn’t simply about trying something new, but about stepping outside yourself to a version you had always sensed was waiting. One of the most powerful things about being at a convention like OSC is the sheer concentration of experience, creativity, and capability in one place.
