A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

66, 67, 68, 69, 70…

When it comes to microdermal projects, especially big ones, there is always the question of longevity.  This came up recently when Sames sent in a photo of his “anti-wedding ring“.  Granted in that case it was in a high traffic area, but the same concerns apply whenever we see a large collection of microdermals in one area.  Well, Sames is back, and this time he’s showing off his 70+ microdermal chest piece that has been in place for over a year and a half.

I counted just shy of 70, but there may be a couple we’re not seeing so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.  In any case, this is an impressive project considering how long the jewelry as been in place.  Credit for the piercings goes to Craig Kelley from Couture Tattoo Co. in Canton, OH.  After seeing this, I’d say he could easily be called the hero of Canton.

Ok, not to split hairs, but I only count 67, however I did go crosseyed trying to count them. That’s a really impressive piece. I imagine cleaning them would require a lot of patience

I counted all 67 in 0.1 of a second. You say how many- 70? Pretty close. …But there’s 3 left in the box!

I’m trying to imagine what it was like to heal these guys. I have two anchors on my back that were a pain in the ass to heal simply because my shirt bumped them every day as I took it off and put it on. I would assume the same issues would arise for this piece.

I do have to say that I love the way his anatomy is incorporated into the piece. If a guy has to have nipples, he might as well use them geometrically.

Thanks alot Scott. The anatomy definitely makes it look “right” which is one of the main things I love about my chest.

Aftercare involved quite a bit of time but it surely paid off.

This is still my fave large Micro Dermal project. I wish the anchors I put in his nipples would have worked out but the nipps are a rough place to heal and keep good with all the T.H.O’s and what not.

…And thanks for the sweet ass comment at the end of the story Rob!

That looks really great. Very impressive that they seem to be stable, at least for now. And thumbs up for the Firefly joke.

I’m wondering how old these micros were in the photo. I wonder if they will all stay put over time?

I saw this picture I believe in a magazine. He got them done at a convention. If I’m not mistaken he had one in each nipple when he was photographed for the magazine, so that may account for a shortage in the once 70 microdermals?

Either way, I love microdermals and I’ve been expecting to see good things come with them and this was one of the first big projects I had seen. I can’t wait to witness more. 🙂

Sik- They were all done at the shop, not at Hell City (where that photoshoot occurred). Do you happen to remember which magazine you saw them in? I was told that it was in a magazine but they did not remember which one.

Thanks again for the kind words for both Craig and I. He did some awesome work and I love this project.
